Germany-Italy is set, cool. Ukraine missed many good opps, I can imagine some UKR fans went nuts. GER-ITA is on July 4, I was planning to ride my bike. I can swim in the morning and ride the bike afternoon.

ARG played even with GER, I do not see any reason for coach to resign. ARG was physically weaker than GER, they were exhausted at 75 mins. I doubt klinsman or the american physciatrist has any effect on the team. They are playing at home, that's the difference.

i do agree. ukraine had many opportunities to score but just couldnt turn it around to do so.

and yes argentina and germany was a very good matchup. they were both very aggressive.

Klinsmann had a massive impact on the match by making the proper substitutions. His decision to bring in Borowski and Odonkor lead to the leveler. Odonkor's good play down the right side immediately preceded the play in which Borowski flicked the ball on for the Klose goal. Borowski also scored his penalty in the shootout. Great substitutions.

Pekerman made cynical substitutions hoping to 'close up shop' and hold on for the 1-0 win. Many believe Messi would have been a better player to bring on than Cruz. Also Cambiasso missed the deciding penalty, although you could hardly blame Pekerman for that. Even though I was going against the Argentinians, you have to feel bad for Cambiasso. It was an horrible moment for him.

At this level of football these small tactical decisions can make the difference between winning and losing.
