I'm pretty sure the team is taking it seriously seeing as how a good chunk of the team belongs to football clubs outside the US :p The Czech's aren't a horrible team, USA wasn't even favored this match. Hopefully we'll shape up and defeat Italy.

WOW Bas, your hope and positive attitude are amazing. The US is team of boys lost in a man's game. It will take decades for the US team to rise and earn any respect on the international level. The US game wasn't even broadcast on network TV today!

i think it's absolutely disgraceful that the USA match wasn't shown on network TV. apparently 'regis & kelly' and 'the view' are more important to ABC

italy and ghana both impressed me. i watched a total of about 5 minutes of serie A footy this season, so i hadn't seen luca toni play. wow, that guy is going to cause a lot of problems for other teams. ghana were quite good as well. they had 2 legitimate claims for penalties turned down. essien (another one of my favourite players  ) was impressive. the US has a tough road ahead of them.

Well yeah, everyone knows that soccer doesn't pull in all the stay at home moms watching the show on a Monday afternoon :p

GO USA!

See I would agree with you pre-world cup 2002, now when usa defeated mexico...I was in total shock and for some reason we actually had a chance (after seeing the iran vs mexico, I do think that is possible anymore), but I don't know if they can do it again especially after todays slaughter. I am with Bas though....GO USA :D

One win over Mexico means nothing, it is just one win. If the US kept it's game constant then it would be a different story.

Wasn't that one win the entrance in the quarter finals? And common give the guys some slack, we barely got in during the 1990 world cup. But I do agree, as of now...the consistancy is looking bad and that different story that you mention is not going to come true :p

PS: Awesome sig ruben
