i'll be surprised if vibe comes back....
:( |
I didn't hear nevio but I thought Vibe was completely boring, played out "tribal house." there were 3 interesting tracks but when the crowd didn't respond, he went back to the drums.
I can't think of any truly bad sets I've heard this year. |

Good thread Bobby.
I know a lot of you love Yoji...but not my style at all and thus worst set ever IMO.
I believe it was that night...or maybe another...I can't think of which night...but anyway, I love Mark Oliver and all, but sometimes his closing sets just put me to sleep. I've always been one to want to stay until the lights go on, but sometimes with him closing I just can't, I'd rather start the after party early.
Also, Junkie XL's set from Ultra 9, I thought was terrible. |

mauro picotto @ US9 (its to bad, because he was a big name for me as i got into the trance scene, and even really liked his move into techno with choons like bangkok etc. but his set just didn't do anything)
even worse was this guy called John Creamer i heard in cancun. I never heard of him b4, but thought i'd check him out. Wholey crap did he suck large. Ok i guess some ppl like minimal, but isn't it at least supposed to progess a little bit? It felt like i was listening to a bass drum for 2 hrs. and the big moments were when the hi-hat would come in. Like wholely crap, you suck get off. |

I absolutely loved it. In fact, that noise is what totally pumped me up, and I couldn't stop going nuts after. Most people didn't like his set because the last hour was minimal...but everyone knows...
I <3 MNML!
I distinctly remember him playing Cirez D - Teaser...followed up by Paul Kalkbrenner - Gebrünn Gebrünn. ing weird mixture. It was nuts.
Matt John - The Rising Scope and Gabriel Ananda - Ihre Personliche Glucksmelodie were also played :) |

what about those last 20minutes where he looped the same beat before blank and jones came on, did you go nuts to that too?
i haven't seen so many people NOT dance to dj in my life ever before. I was on the stage and when i looked around i saw about 5 people dancing to his set, thats all. |
