| the 9/11 conspiracy theorists are a real shame and embarassment. I walked over to ground zero today during lunch, and watched thousands of people gathered around the gates in a memorial. Among them were members of some group that spawns these conspiracy theories, because they were all wearing the same "question 9/11" shirts that encourage people to ask questions of the government and ponder "what really happened." ing idiots, punk rebel kids, out there spreading their college propaganda, dressed in all black, shouting this absurd bull while mourning relatives of those who died 5 years ago cry a few feet away. I heard one of them say "there was no fire inside, it was the timed explosives that brought down the buildings." Yeah, there was no fire inside, that's why all those people jumped from the towers - not because of the steel-melting heat inside, but because they were cooperating with the government coonspirators, trying to make the plot look like a terrorist attack. One of the worst tragedies in world's history, and these pieces of use it to spur controversial topics and accusations just to make them look interesting and rebelious. |

I think on the 5th Anniversary of 9/11, that it's just ing great that we're all so caring about the memories of the deceased that we're bickering like children about how people are remembering it.
Better yet, everyone's using their deaths for their own political gain (not that I would think that it'd be any different than every day for the past 5 years). ABC puts on a movie that they did tone down under pressure, but strayed from the 9/11 commission report. The conspiracy theorists use it as a means to attack the government. Cheney used his Pentagon speech this morning to support the wars, one of which isn't even a derivative of 9/11.
