wow.... yankees do suck.... they'll win game 4 by 14 runs or something......

i'd start batting Arod in the 9th spot. Why was he hitting cleanup today? He has some serious mental demons.

Not with an offense that has gone 14 straight innings without scoring, no matter how big the names in it are

Kenny Rogers murdered the Murderers' Row & Cano
Got them chasing low breaking pitches all night long

i love the yankees but it makes me wonder how a team with a 60 (eventually 80+) million dollar payroll can win 4 out 5 world series from 96-2000 but can't even score a run with the best lineupu in baseball in the regular season.

they're not done by any means but there was just no heart out there last night.

Same thing happened to my Braves since 1995 ... to Red Wings since 2002 ... its ego, lack of determination, guys who are used to winning all the time so they dont have the energy to try harder to succeed. The underdogs are more passionate about winning, because they had so many losing seasons ...

Smitty, dont worry too much about it ;-) next time pick oppositely, that way you win either way - either your team wins, or you win the pool ;-) cause you cant win both most of the time ;-) thats how I picked this year ;-) I picked my least favourite teams for WS in the pool this year ;-) GO TIGERRRRRRRS!

Update - Twinkies are toast, and Yanks are down 2-1 in their series:
Of the participants who submitted the picks on time, noone picks the A's over Twins in 3 games, missing out on that 1 bonus point ;-) A lot of 0 point-ers today, many disappointments, hehe ;-)

1. King Ecnal - 17 pts, 8-2 record +3 pts
2. Partyhopper - 13 pts , 6-4 record +3 pts
3. KYD NICE - 10 pts , 5-5 record +0 pts
4. Magnetonium - 8 pts , 4-6 record +2 pts
5. Verndogs - 6 pts , 3-7 record +0 pts
6. Dj Smitty20 - 2 pts , 1-9 record +0 pts

Smitty, miracles do happen, your Yankees are not out yet, not even close ;-) !!! I SAY IT AGAIN ;-)

Looks like lots of points will be lost in the Padres vs. Pujols (aka Cardinals) series, as it appears that no one picked STL

Since the Pods offense has regressed to its pre-stretch run ways, note to the pitchers: Don't pitch to Pujols!
Say it over and over a hundred times, then go do it! How hard is it to not pitch to him?

and then lose the next game by small margin.

That is unless I bet against the Yankees and they end up beating the Tigers. I think ill do that...:nervous:

bye bye yankees

If things hold up, then props to Magnetonium, the only one who picked the Tigers to beat the Yankees
Man, what a display of pitching on back-to-back days

Was I really the only one? I didnt notice. I kept my eye on the Tigers all year long ... I saw how brilliant their pitching is. Now I am screwed because it seems they'll make the WS and I picked Twins.

If Tigers had home-field advantage in the first round, I'd pick them all the way. Too bad its too late now ;-)

I'll do the long-term forecasts at the end of the first round ;-)

lol... I LOVE IT... this is why MLB is so stupid..

ANOTHER YEAR with crap teams in the World Series...

way to go Bud!

I will not watch the WS for the 2nd straight year....

well the Mets are the only hope... but the way things are going.... it will be another crappy team in NL...

lol...yeah... baseball isn't interesting anymore when no team with a 200 million $ payroll plays in the world series :haha:

and MLB is stupid because the Yankees didn't make it? well MLB is stupid because they don't have a real salary cap and let it happen that teams like the Yankees or Red Sox gather all the starpower in their teams.

letting the same team win a division 11 times in a row is one of the reasons why Baseball isn't america's sport #1 anymore.

and sorry, but don't reaching the world series with a payroll of 200 million $ is STUPID :haha:
