The only complaint i really have about TIL is the horrible sound.
Other than that im fine with it the 2 times ive been for a dance/electronic night. |

lol I understand that remembering the good old days at System has a certain nostalgic quality to it, but I'm sorry, in it's last days System was ing disgusting.
It was never the same after it's renovations. (Were you even old enough to frequent it back in the Breathe Mark Scaiffe days, ie: the glory days... not a diss, I'm just curious)
TiL is just a venue, it easily has the potential to lit up as brightly as System did in terms of vibe.
For me personally it's the second best space in Toronto (Drink being the first)... |

Wednesday night was good, the crowd was really into the music, but it was an EXCEPTION, nothing like what it is on any other night.
You cannot compare the vibe at System soundbar to... mmm whatever happens @ TiL on fridays. We will never have another System in Toronto. Something just as good, prolly, but nothing comparable! TiL is neither.

correction..they were into it as long as it was house. Whenever coxy tried to go to deeper or harder the crowd didnt respond. |

Yes the crowd and the vibe is different than at System. Things change. You go to a club with a bunch of your friends and make your own fun. Nothing will touch Sander at Stereo this year for me, but I will be at TIL when he is there and anywhere else in Toronto until I stop liking what he is playing.

I will not be there.
I'm not living in the past...and I accept that other places will be different than System ("old" System or "new" System). I just have a particular idea for what I'm looking for in a club and won't go to one just because a certain DJ gets booked there.
I'd rather be at a place like Sonic, Gallery or Footwork (after a very positive first experience there this past weekend).
(btw, Sander is my b-day weekend...so get ready for a massive guilt trip if another event pops up on the calendar, lol)
