People HAVE heard of him, he's just mainly based in America, meaning those who voted for him will have heard him there. Anyone with a few years history of edm has heard of many of these guys even if they dont listen to them.

I remember when Armin made it to #5 in his second year of being in the poll. Nobody had heard of him either. It was a big scandal. |

It's sad when people want to live in the past, seeing the same DJs in the top ten, year in, year out.
Kids today are far more familiar with the names Tiesto and Armin than they are with Sasha or Digweed.
Whether you like it or not, the Dutch super DJs are more relevant to the scene today than the old UK progressive heroes, who are slowly starting to fade.
Times move on, some DJs fall out of the top ten, while new ones enter.
Get over it. |
