| For the most part I hold all organized religions in contempt. Very few ppl practice what they preach on Sunday. Do we need someone with "divine " inspiration to tell us how to be a decent, caring human being? Besides what kind of person needs fear and guilt as motivators to do the right thing? Seems unlikely god would create countless different religions and give all of them different rules to live by. Face it religion is man made. Quit looking to God and religion for answers, look inside yourself instead. Religion is for Morons not Mormons. :stongue: |

no they really aren't. there is only one truth and people of reason are the only ones who seek it out. religion is faith in false hope with a lack of critical thinking required for reasoning and an absence of any disprovable theory which can be applied to form hypotheses... | no.. they really are. |

Listen to this man everyone, who needs god when you can always look inside yourself for answers. he's a real inspiration, last I've heard was that he's in his late 30s and living in his mommy's basement. |

I have diss any religions, but why are you saying that the problem isnt a religion itself? |
Because it's completely open to interpretation. The religion itself is not the one telling you what to believe...the texts don't read and interpret themselves for you. The only evil is in the person doing the deciphering. |

watch the videos people.
educate yourself on the argument from atheism, why god is a delusion, why faith is a virus and why religion is the root of all evil. unless you find the idea of critically examining your beliefs 'offensive'. |

I also laugh at the hypocrisy of atheists, who condemn religion and religious people for pushing their beliefs onto others, when they do it just as much.
I don't understand the need of people to get everybody else to agree with their beliefs, other than the fact that it somehow gives strength to their point of view.
Are people that afraid to stand alone with what they believe, that they have to try and convince others to go along with it?
Seems like an ego thing to me. Plain and simple. |
