Speaking as an Athiest, I can tell you that it's bull to push any personal beliefs onto others. If your beliefs make you happy, then so be it. The beliefs of others make them happy, so let them live their lives in whatever way they see fit.
Simply because you believe in a more fact-based ideology makes you no better or worse than those who belive in a faith-based ideology. It's how you go about respecting other peoples personal faiths that makes you better or worse, and in this case you're coming off as worse. |

there's a lot of push in the christian religion to try and 'save' others with their ideology. i was raised by a presbyterian father and a catholic mother and i saw a hell of a lot of a superiority complex in both churches. that nazi . |

it's probably not a good idea to identify yourself as the problem if you, by my own definition, are not. the problem is the idea of religion, not the few people who are able to consume it for personal use without stepping on other people's toes. the institution of religion, be it christianity/catholicism, judaism and islam, has a very openly stated agenda to rule all of society by it's own moral code. you may just be another follower, but the leaders are doing all the value projections for you. either way, if you are religious, you are subscribing to a warped morality, which is still dangerous when you put enough of you together. |
