Is that a no then? Weak.

Has the following ever occurred to you?

Anything is infinitely less plausible than nothing?

or to rephrase

That the basic construct of a universe emerging from a big bang (or God for that matter) is infinitely less logical than nothing for ever in every direction (realizing of course that direction is being used here as a symbolic reference point to make the concept easier to digest rather than referring to any cardinal points)

I'll settle for calling you a contradiction. Does that work?

no they really aren't. there is only one truth and people of reason are the only ones who seek it out. religion is faith in false hope with a lack of critical thinking required for reasoning and an absence of any disprovable theory which can be applied to form hypotheses...

what makes you think it's of any importance to me what you believe in? i'm only here to show people the path to humanism because i have a social obligation to at least represent the advent of humanity's many social codes. i couldn't give a less what you or anyone else end up doing with my posts. i've come to terms with the fact that the majority in any population of humans will live and die behind the curtain of ignorance.

I guess it's hard for him to respond, now that we're asking him to give me his OWN thoughts on the matter.

why don't you settle for buying a dictionary? there's this thing called agnosticism which is neither theism nor atheism.

you call it ego, i call it altruism, and i call your condition dependancy and denial

i just don't believe in anything conventional. I can't see why a god would exist, in any form, the one i relate to closest is the many gods that hindus have, simply because the "gods" to me are people who exist, who i can prove exist and who I learn from. Be them a friend, a sportsman or a musician, ifthey move my life forwards they count. I can't handle any sort of actual religion, I don't pray, I don't believe the arguments & teachings of a society made thousands of years ago can be relevant in todays climate, and things we believe in now won't in the future.

Ah, right, because then you would just be repeating what somebody else said, and then that may lead to the same widespread hysteria support that made religion the humongous institution that it is now.

All just lots of people believing the same thing, claiming one is right and the other is wrong. Both sides are supported by their own brand of 'proof'. Both sides just results of humanity.

Taking a side makes you a believer.

It's one thing to exhibit the behavior of altruism. It's another thing to go around acting high and mighty because you think that that's who you are.
