this is a very interesting thread. there are a lot of good opinions in here. what i see as the bottom line, is that regardless of what we post in the CoR, there is some aspect about it that brings us all together. this community is VERY diverse, and there's bound to be a certain permeative degree of 'stupid posts,' as there is a certain degree of stupidity everywhere else in the world. no matter what solution you have in mind there exists the fact that we all (in our own special way :gsmile: :gsmile: ) care about this community.
it's not up to the mods to change it. people have proven that with alts and fake accounts time and time again. if this community wants to change we need to get over all our little differences, like who likes different kinds of gaming systems :wtf:
and who's a whore, and who's a sad bald child molester. we just gotta forget about all that . and we gotta work together to make this place "better."
a community reflects its composition. if you feel you are better than this "," clean up your own act. be a positive example for n00bs, like ygrene and moral hazard. be funny. be intelligent, and encourage posts and threads are as well. |

haven't read back so i don't really know where this thread has gone today. i just woke up.
from what i've seen though...not sure if anyone that wasn't in the COR when i started spamming would even understand. because out of context it looks like a lot of things.
i came in here last night and saw half a page of FAO: threads that were completely retarded with one word posts. most of you can't see them because well i deleted 5-6 before i posted this one, but the whole point of this...whether you agree with it or not...was that there are some people that post here that go out of there way to make the stupidest posts they can.
is it a comment on the COR as a whole? not really... i still enjoy reading in here despite not posting much anymore... but everything is buried under a pile of stupid crap. was what i did annoying...spamming every thread with stupid comments? absolutely... well that's what i see those stupid people doing everyday. was i being sarcastic through out all of those posts. yep. you guys can make it out to be whatever....doesn't really matter to me. i had a great weekend and everything is going fine with me...not like i'm mad about anything accept people crapping all over the COR.
before i even started spamming a bunch of worthless threads...look what happened. i delete threads because they are retarded and i automatically get 4-5 more because people think they are being funny. did i spam anywhere outside those threads? nope. did anyone get suspended last night? nope. i just get tired of all the pointlessness. maybe i'm the only one, but i don't really see how some people around here improve the COR...all they do is take up bandwith.
don't really feel like trying to defend myself because well...i don't really think i'm wrong. i saw some people mention the enferno thing. did i mishandle that? i don't think so. maybe TA has changed, but as far as i know...when i started modding posting vagina's with beer glasses in them wasn't allowed. not only that...enferno has been given tons of chances to clean up his crap...he's been ban'd plenty...i don't see why my suspending someone for them blatently posting innappropriate stuff is a crisis. we talked about this in the mod forum and seemed like just about all the mods agreed with the suspension. what because there is a NSFW on it? you don't just post whatever you want because you put NSFW on it. have there been other threads with just as offensive of material lately...yeah there have been. should those have been taken care of as well...yeah probably, but hind sight is 20/20. i mean we used to have a rule about posting goatse and *******... should i just start 10 threads a day with those pics in them if i post NSFW? no. |

Bitching, whining and complaining doesn't help solve the supposed problem at hand, it just contributes to it. Several of you whining about this place "sucking" certainly are not doing ANYTHING to make it better. Where are your quality posts and threads?
Anyway, as it is with society, and it is with the COR, the more people thrown into the mix, the more chaotic it will get. The only thing you can do is try to enjoy the "thorns that on occasion, have a few really good roses". |
