Wow, I'm kind of confused.
Are Jay Tee, I thought Jason was doing something constructive by creating this thread. It seems like he is bringing attention to those who are posting nothing but in here over and over day in and day out and saying "Hey! C'mon, guys! It's out of hand!"
I mean every now and then, these kind of posts are silly and they are laughable but when they become the norm and clutter up ever thread in the forum, it pulls the forum down. And I don't believe any of the guys posting this crap are stupid. They aren't retards. Enferno can type a coherent sentence. So can Ivand. So can Marc Summers. So why don't they? Why all this drivel?
And I don't mean to point the finger at them as if they're the only ones doing it. Because they aren't.
I'm just really surprised at you and Peter Pipers for jumping down Jason's throat because neither of you are part of the problem.
Don't you think it's all gotten out of hand? Do you really enjoy all of the posts and threads that are meaningless? I can't believe that either of you do.
I've heard a few of you say all of this garbage is the result of growing membership. It seems to me as though we had more people posting in the COR back in the days. So I don't think that's the problem. |

An individual's ideas of fun are so subjective, its ridiculous to try and define generalized limits.
Inspite of all your grumblings, there are people who like the "." threads. You don't have a right to say that nobody should find them funny.
Seriously, it's like trying to impose your subjective ideas of fun on others. People who make "" threads according to you, also make good threads.
People who whine about " threads" also contribute in them. People who are whining about Nou's threads, have all posted in them.
But once in a while, people wake up to the fact that others are making threads and complain. wtf ?
If you don't like the threads in COR, then refrain from posting in them. Make your own, contribute to the fun in your own way.
Let people with like minded ideas of fun post in your threads and everybody share a good laugh.
Don't whine about the quality of threads in the COR. It's not going to change anything.
People will not rise up, or drop down (whatever) to your levels. Make a change by making your own funny threads. |

not at all, and i've already started to post less in COR since i've become mod. once you have to put up with the continuous bull that comes along with modding, you start to realize that the less you say, the less problems you have. |

A lot of what you post is true and correct.
But why can't I speak out? Why can't Jason or Nik or Arbiter express their opinions? If no one wants to change, they won't change. Isn't it okay to say, "hey, you guys are posting too much garbage" and maybe they'll agree and decide to tone it down a bit?
Maybe they won't. That's their right. But maybe something good will come out of the criticism.
No? |

it's true and it always will be, because it's easier to HATE/RIDICULE in groups. So the minute you speak out against the general concensus, the faster you are seen as an outsider to 'their' group. These groups seem to take precendence over individualism. It's like the highschool cafeteria thread, that's a perfect distinction for the c0r. Group domination of a common area where it's easier to say something if you're buddies back you up and it's harder to say something if no one agrees with you.
I quite enjoy it when no one agrees with me, but i sense this reality is coming quickly to a close, only for the fact that more people are realizing how this group mentality (or clicks should I say) is being frowned upon.
It is true, this place is a typical highschool cafeteria, very much so are the topics posted in here ever relevant to anything but like-minded opinions. |
