I didn't bother to read anything past the 3rd page, but the fact is, a 'period/dot thread' is pretty much a call sign to all the clicky groups to come in and post in this thread to show how cool they are as a group. Honestly, I've been pointing this out for a while and pretty much gave up on making it an issue. I just don't even bother clicking them let alone participate unless there is something relevant that I can contribute. Laugh riot is exactly that...it's sad to see imho, no sense of individualism, it's all about who's cool and who follows those cool people...weak if you ask me... |

No. the simple fact is that Jason should've been given mods a good 18 months before he did. People often move on in life, be it new jobs, schooling or whatnot, and I'd guess that this is just a coincidence. Trying to scrutinise it further won't do much I don't think

The current COR doesn't make a good general forum, and it shows. Some people would like a general forum minus the inane posts and unceasing torrents of stupidity, while others just want to 'have fun' and 'not take the internet seriously' (right...).
A forum where people can make . threads and where spam is considered hilarious is NOT a general forum at all. It is a spam forum, a forum for nonsense and stupidity. Make a CORe sub-forum for the idiots (or purge them completely, your call) and a regular general forum for the normal people.
That's all I have to say about this.
edit: Alright, after seeing all those "FAO" threads and "These FAO threads suck," I am 100% certain that this place has become a complete hole. It's _______ on TA all over again. Damn, do people really think doing retarded is funny? |
If there's going to be a "sub-forum for idiots" I can pretty much assure you that your place in there is safe. Yeah we have problems, but I find it funny how a lot of people who're part of it actually think they can solve it. All you've done in the last week is try to appear a smartass & go against whatever the general opinion is in a thread. |

because if we don't agree on what everyone generally agrees on, we're seen as an outsider? not part of the cool click is that why?
kinda similar to how the Sony fanboys are lump together ONLY because the other fanboys downtalk Sony. Where as some sony fanboys who participate in "nintendo" threads don't necessarily downtalk the company or consoles they produce, just the fact that the mass does not agree sony is a good company leaves the fanboys defending the company so in essence we're forced to be in clicks only because the general concensus is 'sony is '. |

It's not just that he's going against the opinions in the threads, it's as much to do with how he's doing it, which doesn't add anything at all to the thread, the exact point he's arguing at times. |

For the record - Even though I think Jason's estimation is accurate, he's the last person who should be complaining.

You RESIGNED as mod, yet your name remains at the top of the forum for some reason (your inability to handle the enferno situation only reinforced your lack of presence/ability as a mod here), you're bitching about how much it sucks here, yet you're the one who said he didn't want to be a part of TA anymore because of how negatively it affected your life. If you've got such a problem, then get out and stay out - It's really quite simple. It may not be the nicest to hear, but everything Alon said is true.

He's certainly not allowed to pass judgment on a community he's no longer even a part of.
And though the word "exploded" may have been a bit much, it's still absurd that he'd even bother coming in here and posting rubbish like this.

Maybe if he never posted in the CoR ever, but I wouldnt go as far as saying hes not part of the community just because hes been inactive as of late. His opinion might not be of any value to you, but there are others who actually might listen to his observational tripe (and agree). |
