Chaos!
Lesse, was faced when I arrived, immediately lost everyone with whom I came, cell phone died, and my voice was already gone from the night before. Apparently saw Julia at some point before I went on my solo mission. Sorry I don't remember, I don't remember much. :D Got to the front at S + D... Loudest noises EVER. Enjoyed being grinded upon from all directions. :rolleyes: :mad: Diggers threw down that second-to-last track from the first Transitions CD and I went ape... Too bad everyone in the immediate area had no clue what I was so excited about and probably just thought I was on drugs. :p Sasha came on and I got pretty bored and decided to form a one man search party for my buddies and go pee. Saw longest line EVER for a bathroom so just took a leak... somewhere... possibly on a tent. Repeat 3x. Went to VIP bar and waited in line for 30 minutes or so to finally get... 2 stoli and tabs! Yum! :whip: Tried to go back a little later but voice and myself were so gone I couldn't convey to the bartender that I wanted booze, so was told, 'sir, I can't serve you any alcohol like this. BUt here's some water.' :D Eventually found Montie and other friends and heard eminating from Sander's tent The Knife - Silent Shout so charged to the front and went ape again. :D Stayed at Sander for the rest of the night, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Played some remix of smack my bitch up :rolleyes:, a mash up of Xpander and some other track!!! and of course Miami Miami Miami :p Set got kinda boring, but certainly enjoyed it more than Sasha... (Even tho Sasha's still my all time fav, he's just been kinda boring me lately... Shoulda stayed there and heard a few of those unexpected gems you guys listed) Stupid drunken-attention span. :D Left after Sander, got the hiccups on the way back, and passed out. All in all, good times!... As far as I can remember. :rolleyes:
Probably not the most accurate recollection of events of New Year's... But waddyagonnado? :D |

Had a review written but lost it so it lol.
Sasha and Digweed rocked for 6 1/2 hours till 6am. And I mean they seriously brought the goods. Also really enjoyed JVM and Trent Cantrelle. I can't even describe how bad the Blueberi tent was the couple of times I wandered in expecting JVM to be on. Michael Jackson :wtf: Thought we would hang out in the The Ohranj Arena a little more but just could leave S&D. I'm sure the people watching Ferry and AVB felt the same.
Friends everywhere!!! Even ran into some people we met a Ice when Sasha was there for Halloween. Great meeting a bunch of new TAs as well.
Great sound save a few times when the bass was overdriven.
The visuals were a mind . That has to be the most insane lighting I have seen. You can tell by my pics I was a little obsessed. Thought I got pictures of everyone but not even close :( Lots of lights though lol.
No afterparties for us. We were content. No reason to dilute it. Dropped Mindshifter and Danielle (SP?) off at their hotel and headed home. Great parting with you guys btw. Glad you made the trip.
Did see a bunch of drunk pissed off people though. Some fights nearly broke out a few times. Bathroom situation was BAD.
T-mobile seemed to work ok for me. I got calls and texts.
Thanks to Sasha and Digweed, Giant and all of our TA/friends who made this easily the best NYE of my life.

509 for airfare. (bought my ticket at the last second)
160 for vip.
100 for car rental.
400 gas/food/etc.
200 on redbull alone!!!
Sasha/Digweed OWNED!!! killer basslines!!! man these two gentleman can take you anywhere you wanna go!!! this set was better than their Delta Heavy Tour 2002 (D/T Mpls @ the Quest) and that is SAYING ALOT!!! 2nd time i saw them. ill pay any sum of money to see them on any day!!! |
