Around 5pm Kris and I head down to Downtown to the event. Traffic is great up untill the 110. Then Bam! Hardly moveing at all. With in 20 minutes there is white smoke comming from the hood of my car and Overheating! GRRRRREEEAT! :mad: So I get off at the next exit. Once the heater is on and I am moving again car cools down and we find parking and walk over to the Will call tent. Find out what we need to do and where we need to be at what time.
There was an hour for us to kill so we explore the area. As you all know there where 3 big tents set up for music. The blue and orange tents where HUGE! It seemed like they where bigger then the ones they used at Coachella. :eyes: The only down fall to the tents was that the Dj was set up in one area and the Bar was allllllll the way at the other end.
Right at 8pm the doors open they start letting people in.
Kristina Sky opened the orange tent and I thought this was one of her best opening sets yet! The tent starts filling up pretty nicely. Since it was early I went into the rasberry tent to check out The AOS. They where playing great tracks as well.
8:45 rolls around and it is time to meet Boris and continue dancing to K-Skys set. Boris starts his set a little after 9:30 and keeps the engry going and everyone movin.
I wish I could write more but I missed most of Boris set sadly due to the fact I was waiting out side for Ferry to come. Do-Do Do a good hour or so later and a few phone calls Ferry arives at the VIP entrance so it is back inside to say hello and get some quick pictures. Boris is still on and I am likeing what he is playing. I think he did a very nice job of warming the crowd up.
By this time the tent is Packed!!! And packed all the way to the bar area. At 11:00 it was time to find my spot I scoped out on the dance floor. I got it and once Ferry got on I held up the white heart I made hehe :)I look at my phone and it is 11:10. CRAP. I had to leave the dance floor to go meet up with Armin. I start getting a little ancy.. I wanted to be inside. Once I got word Armin was in I went back said Hi to him got picuturs and back on the dance floor.
Once I back out there there where people takeing picutrs in the way. And they where there for a long time... I mean reallyyyy. seriouly I do not think they should have been there that long.. just take the picture and go! :whip:
I LOVED LOVED LOVED Ferrys set. Some of the tracks he played where so pretty!!! :D :D :D Since I suck at ID's I only knew a few

Around 11:59 the energy of the tent starts to expload! Ferry thows down New years day gets on the stage and does the count down. I do not think I could have been at a better place at a better time. Then right then and there. Every one went Nuts at Midnight. Lots of hugs and kisses and every one just so happy! It was amazing. Ferry takes his place behind the decks and then it happens.. Skip... track goes back a few bars... Skip.... track goes back... Skip... track dies! Oh no!
But that is ok like that happens we all started to Chant and Ferry throws on another great track.Woot woot
Some guy was right behind me trying to dance with me. I moved away and pushed him off but he was right behind me again. Soon I felt a hand trying to touch my ass. HELLL NO so I left the dance floor and went on stage to excape for a little bit. I wished Ferry a happy new years and took some pictures. But I do not like being in the way and I had more room to dance down on the main floor. Besides I was having soooo much fun Dancing with my heart. lol. There where points of the night that no one could have whiped the cheesy I am sooooo happy grin off my face.
A little after 2ish I decided to take another break and head back stage right before Armin got on. Bad idea I wanted to get a picture of the 2 of them together but There was no room on stage to do it :( BOOOO!
Armin gets on and slows down just a tad after Ferry. His set starts off soo amazing but it gets a little top 40ish and back to amazing again:

There was one point that Armin got in to the harder ASOT phase and the phase that I do not like. So I took the opperuntiy to go check out Sasha and Digweed.
The Blue tent was not a packed as the organge tent but it was still pretty packed. I find my spot on the floor and Like what I hear. I have no idea who was on at the time since it was hard to tell who was playing. But I was digging the dark progressive sounds I think Diggers was playing. When they where both on it was hard for me to tell who was playing and who wasn't.
As it got boring I went to go find Kirs and looked in the back stage area but could not find her. I did run in to digweed grabed a pict and took off to the orange tent
Armin was playing the pretty stuff again so I went up stage for more picturs and to dance a little bit. I wanted to be where all the people where at so I found my spot and danced my little booty off! Sooo sooo soo much FUN!
I really really really enjoyed armins set a lot. It was one of his better ones IMO.
After I said goodbye to everyone it was time go reconnect with Kirs and go in to the blue tent where Sasaha and Digweed where playing.
For some reason I felt water falling on my head.. I looked up and I could see that the lights had caused the tent to sweat. Not good for the poof ball on top my head.
I do not know if It was b/c I hit my wall but the music kept getting slower and slower It was doing nothing for me at all. Kirs was feeling the same way. Besides we had round 2 and 3 and 4! :crazy: So we left the event.
I had SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN at Giant Maximus. SO SO SO SO MUCH FUN!!!
It was one of the best new years eve's I had yet!! :D :D :D :D

I was in the S&D tent for the countdown so I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing he was playing his own remix of New Years Day. There were some promos flying around but I don't think the licensing ever got worked out so it was never "officially" released. The promos and bootleg whitelables are floating around though . . .

Yup you are correct he played his own remix of new years day. I can tell it was a special moment for him because he is so proud of that track and having the opportunity to play it at midnight made his nite and mine.
