Well I dunno about everyone else, but I always take each Sasha mix for what it is...without comparing to his other stuff.

You, along with many others who've posted in this thread, are in the minority ;)
There's a key point in my last post I think I need to reiterate:

I'm not saying it's going to be you fellows doing this either - it's the uneducated masses I'm concerned with.
|
My only concern is that 90% of the reviews/posts I read are going to begin with "Well, compared to Involver 1...", which would be a true shame.

Unfortunately, they exist like an infection and occasionally one bad apple spoils the bunch.
Oh well. Kyle is right - time will tell. I look forward to choking on my doubts :) |

I've never understood making a thread about a cd that has been announced but doesn't even have an announced tracklist yet. You can't discuss anything about the cd, only expectations which could end up being way off.
I liked Involver, it was a monumental release and showed innovation in a mix compilation that hasn't been shown before. As far as the 2nd involver, we'll have to wait and see and until then I can't say much for it, until theres at least a tracklist. |

The thing that I love most about his sets is that they always get better over time, instead of the opposite. I'll sometimes have to listen to a mix 5-6 times before I really "get it" and see where he was going with it. |
This literally is EXACTLY what i think.
So many times i've listen to a Sasha mix once and dont think too much of it.
But since i'm such a huge fan of Sasha i force myself listen to it again.
Personally it takes AT LEAST 3-4 listens to be able to judge it, 5-6 to completely understand it |

| are they even going to call it "involver 2" or is that just a working title? i'm kind of expecting a completely different feel than the original involver, with the concept of remixing and mixing other producer's tracks the sole similarity between the two. i'm not expecting another involver, i'm expecting a whole different beast with the same concept. |

| I'm soooo looking forward to this. Byt yea, the expectations are maybe a little to high on this release. Maybe a slightly different concept and a different name would do good :) |

As long as Charlie is in there, we should be good :D |
i wonder sometimes if
1. charlie may is the 'batman' to sasha's 'robin'
or if
2. charlie may is the 'robin' to sasha's batman
?
it seems like charlie may lays down the groundwork/foundation (bricks and mortar) and sasha perfects everything (landscaping, interior/exterior design) |
