There is nothing wrong with someone disagreeing with something 'illegal' and possibly dangerous, yet you tread in very shallow waters by having condescending tones towards these individuals. Do you pride yourself in being with the majority of the opinionated out there? You haven't really given one solid, well constructed, or though out point to state your stance. And it is that which makes your condescension less valid IMO.
EDIT: I've read your post on the last page, stating that you had an altercation with this person in other instances. Ok, one valid point.

WOW, very nicely orchestrated this post is. You make quite the generalization regarding drug users. Both you and geroin have at one time in this thread taken a very high and mighty tone explaining yourselves. Not that there is anything particular about that, but why is it you find that you have to pump out your chest and raise your nose to make a point?
Personally, I can respect your choice, and in some way even admire it. It is a choice of will to be active and healthy. However, I have one problem with the two of you, and the ideas you present. There is an undeniably strong undertone to each of the posts stating that each of you enjoy parties on a more pure, if you will, lever. That you are more righteous, and have a right to it, that you appreciate the music solely for the music, and that somehow it entitles you to a greater title than those taking drugs. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you disagreeing with drug use, but generalizing and demeaning the types of experiences and personalities associated with drug use is a flawed argument IMO. In many instances I'll even be inclined to agree with you, in that a lot of drug users don't fully understand their positions, but at the same time, some benefit of the doubt should be given to them, that not all drug users are as oblivious as you seem to think. |

Alright im gonna add a little bit more...
We were at a house party someday, mostly all my friends and one of my chick friends brought her sister.... which was really hot and looked older than my friend...
So we all start popping and i look at my friend's sister and not really thinking i asked her if she wanted one... so she popped one and then proceeded to tell me it was her first time... so i was like... oh cool...about 1 hour later... i asked her sister how old she was... her sister told me she was 14 years old.... ! Then the kid was trying to have sex with me and asking me to touch her boobs... when i said no she said i was an ...
Oh... another reason why i dont like E... i dont like chewing my face off... i dont like people coming up to me and with their eyes popping out of their face while chewing their tongue: DDUDDDDE I AM SO ED UPPPP WOW ITS SO AMAZING!!! I remember some of the times when i was ing sketchy.... god was it ugly. I remember trying to hide UNDER couches or going under carpets in house party and make people trip.... dont ask me why i had this habit of hiding under things and start meowing....but that is a whole other story.
At the end... if you want to take it go ahead. Respect people that do or do not take it. Everybody is entitled to their choices. If there was no drugs, the scene would survive. Its like saying the rap / hip-hop scene would die coz there is no coke and or that all Emo kids wouldnt be emo without lsd,mush or weed. |

not saying pills are any better....if anyone doesn't think taking any sort of illegal drug is not bad for you then they need a good hard smack of reality. Personally, I would rather take one pill in a night then wash down 4 or 5 red bull and some ephedrine
The fact that we stay up all night partying is bad enough for our bodies. |

Now I just do this, and i'm a better person for it. |
I've gotten to the point now where I just grab one of everything that can be turned into a powder that is in my house and crush them all up, mix them together, and do one huge ass hollywood line across the floor in the basement....that usually keeps me going for about 6-7 days.....the salt burns the worse though. |

At no point i generalized and said that all drug users have no appreciation for the music. What i did say was that most not all do it solely for the purpose to get ed up. I'm sure those that do drugs and really appreciate the music would still attend events if drugs did not exist in the first place but the percentage of these people is very small, i would say probably about 50% of the scene would be gone which in my opinion which is a huge number.
Also I do not think that I'm better than anyone else just because I don't do drugs. What i do think though is that people that do attend events on a regular basis without doing any sorts of drugs do love and appreciate the music A LOT to close their eyes and avoid sketchiness that surrounds them in the club at all times and still have a damn good time. It is hard to stay true to what you believe in when you're pretty much surrounded by at least 80% of partiers who are always high. I'm not very bothered by people who do in clubs or else i would not attend them but what saddens me the most is that it feels like more and more people are in on it just to get high and not entirely for the music which is a shame. |

To say that even most drug users don't have an appreciation for the music is bad. I know from my own experience...the music came before the drugs....the drugs became a part of the music....I know, the first time I did e I felt like I was one with the music....it seemed like I had a new appreciation for the music.....and that feeling has stayed with me even when I am just listening to tunes in the house.....certain bass lines just give me goose bumps and the shivers.
The real problem is people who use going out to the club as a reason to get high.....quite honestly....the only reason I do anything now is so I can keep the energy going all night.....I hate feeling like crap the next day because I've got a headache and i am all sketched out and useless....if I could stay up all night like I use to do then I would have no need for the crap....but by 2 am I am just beat now.....and the headliner hasn't even jumped on the decks yet. |

The effects of ephedrine are well documented though. You know (or CAN know) far more about how much energy you'll get from a few ephedrine than you will from a random pill.
I just don't buy the "I use it for energy" excuse. People want to get their buzz on. |
