Perhaps one of my most favorite game series of all time.
I downloaded the demo from the PS Store and enjoyed. I'll definitely give it a whirl from Gamefly.
Right now I seem to stuck in cycle of Warhawk, GRID, Bad Company, and RSV2.

PK, haven't you played Wipeout XL on the PS1? If not, zomg go get it now! It's one of the best racers of all time. Once you play it, you'll understand..
As for Wipeout HD, this damn thing is probably gonna make me buy a PS3. 60FPS + 1080P + wild tracks + good music = :wtf:

I never could get into a racing game where the vehicles were not on solid ground (or at least water...ah wave race 64 my love, the many hours we spent together :D ). So wipeout didn't excite me at the least.
Also in completely unrelated news, but for some reason i feel i need to share it, i have a brand new lcd tv sitting right here next to me for oh about three weeks now. Its still in the box as i dont have anything to hook it up to. The only thing worth watching on tv is discovery channel and cartoon network, i dont have any new consoles around and i cant find any of the old ones. I need to at least hook it up to my pc to watch some HD video on it or something.

I enjoy it. The multiplayer is a lot of fun. Its pretty faced paced and you can use a variety of vehicles. I've read it described as Warhawk meets COD4 and that makes sense to me.
Whether it is worth it or not is up to you. I use Gamefly so I technically still have it on rent - although I intend to click on "keep it" as soon as something else comes out I want to rent (Civilization). Of course I said the same thing about COD4 and ended up sending it back to get Bad Company. heh.
Btw, I am really happy with Gamefly. I used to get really frustrated with them and just about told them to go pound sand - but then they actually showed some good customer service and opened a closer distribution point. Since then I have been really happy and try to buy most of my games through them (unless I absolutely can't wait - GTAIV). If you get a game from them the day it comes out it ends up being atleast $10 cheaper than retail (even more if you have been a member for a while). I've never seen a used game cheaper at Gamestop unless the game is total crap and they have 20 of them. If anyone wants to try it out hit me up with your email address and I can get you a free trial. Or you can just go to their website yourself and probably get the free trial - I just won't get a coupon from them for that - hehe.

I've been doing some research on the internet and have found several people claiming to have updated their PS3 hard drives with larger drives found in laptops. Having done some laptop hard drive swaps in the past it should be a straight forward and easy job for anyone looking for a 200GB PS3...

I use an LCD TV as my main PC monitor...32 inches. ;) Is your desk big enough? If so, give it a shot...You'll love it.

I think we all liked it better when all we had to do was blow into a cartridge.
The skill was minimizing the spit. :stongue:
