All right, all right no more of this OWNED stuff on RJT or this constant bickering will never end. I'm not taking any sides, I'm just tired of all the arguments and drama. Believe you me, I've had enough on my plate to last a lifetime and to be quite frank it in' sucks.

So anyway...

Who wants to buy me a PS3??? :gsmile:

First off, I'm willing to bet the PS2 sold more software than the 360. And I wouldnt even be surprised if it sold more accessories too. Ehhh the accessories might be stretching it, but games....I'm almost willing to guarantee that the PS2 outsold not only just the 360, but all 3 of the major next-gen systems COMBINED, in software.

Read your own article - It didn't. ;)

You kids are worse than the American news media with your spin.

Ah well, ignorance is bliss, just like religion is the opiate of the masses.

I'm out.

I think I've also just realized why I don't post on more gaming forums.

Actually, not once in that entire article does it even mention TOTAL software sales. Not once. we'll just drop it altogether. We are annoying the out of all the other gaming TA's.

So anyways, PS3 official thread continues with...a previously Xbox 360 exclusive coming to the PS3 in the form of Enchanted Arms. Probably wont make much of a difference in the states, but definetely in Japan.

Enchanted Arms Reaches Towards PS3.

UbiSoft shares the JRPG love.

January 11, 2007 - Today Ubisoft announced that it is currently working on a PlayStation 3 version of the Japanese action-RPG, Enchanted Arms. Previously an Xbox 360-exclusive game, Enchanted Arms is created by From Software in Japan and is set to be one of the first Japanese RPGs to hit the PlayStation 3. Enchanted Arms includes more than 50 hours of gameplay, and makes use of the exclusive SpeedTactics Battle System, which enables the player to use distance-dependent attacks in battle.

With its move to the PlayStation 3, Enchanted Arms has made use of the Sixaxis's motion-sensing abilities to craft a more detailed experience. Players can harness weapons, recover their EX power meters, unlock more powerful attacks, and solve puzzles all through real-world manipulation of the controller. The game features more than 500 chanracters, including 130 unlockable creatures to control in battle. The PS3 version of the game also includes 30 exclusive creatures for your battling pleasure. Other PS3-exclusive additions to the game include an all-new English language track and ten additional minutes of anime cutscenes.

Expect Enchanted Arms to spread its tactical charm on the PS3 this March.

what? this thread or the PS3?

this thread is mediocre at best, but the PS3 is pretty badass, though lacking in quality exclusive games, which will change in I'd say around 6 months from now.

Soft PS3 sales spell trouble for EA, others

Who's on the PS3's side, who? Lots. Historically speaking, brand PlayStation has had the best third-party support over any other platform. That's what happens when your first two consoles sell bajillions. A higher install base means more sales of games and a better chance for game developers to make money. So given such strong support for PlayStation systems in general, it's no surprise that EA and others were/are heavy backers of the PS3 from the start.

But according to Bank of America, soft PS3 sales not only spell trouble for Sony but for the many third-party publishers supporting the platform, namely EA. Based on recent channel checks at 50 stores, 78% had PS3s in stock. Hence, "disappointing PS3 hardware sales are an incremental negative for all the game publishers." So much, in fact, that 2007 publisher stocks could take a substantial dive this year as 21% of their total expected revenues were pinned on the PS3.

As you can imagine, continued blame for the low demand was placed on the PS3's price point and and "lack of compelling software titles." The take-away: unless PS3 demand increases in lieu of early mishaps, publishers could also be left in the cold. Maybe more than just gamers are rooting for early price cuts now. The pressure's on.

Uh oh.

Perhaps a price cut soon?

Or maybe these third party developers need to stop bitching. How is the console going to sell without their games being released? Sony needs to take the blame, but the 3rd party developers need to take just as much too.

Hell yeeeaah. By the time you get one, the next batch of PS3 games will finally unleash (did you know that not a SINGLE new PS3 game has come out since Fight Night Round 3, which released BEFORE xmas? No wonder the damn thing isnt selling!), which will include Virtua Fighter 5, Fatal Inertia, Heavenly Sword (one to watch right there, looks to be ing amazing), as well as Sonic (heard it sucked though), Oblivion, and FEAR.

OMG FEAR. I played a demo of that on PC, I know it'd be great on the PS3. Not to mention, chief, I'm anxiously wondering what things I can do with my PSP using the wireless network that comes with the PS3. :)

I can't wait to get my hands on one!
