It also seems like they're adding new characters almost every episode, half of which we seem to never hear from again (Jacks father, teh retard genius, etc.).

Seriously, this better be the last season.

It won't be though. The demmicks out there will continue to lap it up and they'll drag it out till the bitter end; Ie, 8 or 9 seasons when it becomes as stale as The Simpsons. That's typical American TV network politics for you though: Never end anything on a high note - Especially when there's money to be made. Cunts.

The only exception to that rule that I can think of is Seinfeld. They left at arguably the height of their popularity.

Shame there's no way a network as as Fox would allow that to happen.

Although the previous episode was somewhat better than most of this year's season, I can't imagine the next 8 hours to be good enough to somehow save this ty "Day 6". It went all downhill after the expmosion in ep. 4.

Damn, Jack.

I'm ashamed to say I have stopped watching. It really is that bad (imo of course).
igottaknow
why did they kill off jack at the end?

edit: spoiler above don;t read

Everybody Loves Raymond (although I don't know if it's quite your cup of tea) is also one of the only shows I can think of that had the balls to say, "Hey, we've had a great run thus far, we're on top of our game, but honestly we don't think we can keep it up for too much longer, so we'll end it now."

Can't comment on tonight's episode, was at work. Snagging it now, though.

I called the setup as soon as they pulled Fayed out of the vehicle. Jack hauled some serious ass in the end, that was awesome. The "twist" at the end? Eh, I dunno. For the most part the episode was a positive turn for this season (although that's not saying much), but the final seconds are... eh.

Well, to be fair, didn't they pretty much decide to finish the show when Peter Boyle died?

:conf:

And as far as last nights episode, I thought it was great. They did a good job ending the dying nuclear bomb storyline, and now Jack gets to save Strippy in the last 8 episodes or whatever. Hopefully they make it count to the end of the season, then kill Jack and the series in the last episode.

it'd be nice to know whats happening with jack's pops since his involvement with everything.
