The most shocking scene you've ever seen in a film (pg. 10)

Ick...I don't have a strong stomach when it comes to horror/violence, but in terms of little kids I can't bear to see any of it.

I found the first scene more shocking (how the woman destroyed her marriage, and ended up causing her own death, just because she couldn't have a proper conversation with her husband)... and the killing at the motel, because that would be a god damn horrible time to die :p

I hear cannibal holocaust has some of the most shocking scenes in history. I could never bring myself to watch that movie though.

Funny and Disturbing at the same time - The part in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when Johnny Depp is hallucinating a bunch of dinosaurs going nuts and ing each other in the bar around him.

Just plain disturbing - Saw II, the needle scene. Just the thought of being thrown into a pit full of used, disgusting, diseased needles is beyond disturbing...then having to crawl through them.

I've learned my lesson with these movies, I'm always interested out of curiosity but in the end I'm left with images in my head that won't leave and I'm wishing I hadn't watched the movie.
Enigmatic XTC
God, there are so many.
Day of the Dead has some really good ones at the end and Land of the Dead has some nice ones as well.
Cube and Cube Zero both have some great ones, the acid one comes to mind. (Guy is sprayed with acid which appears to be water at first, until his skin starts to fall off.)
There are lots more that i can't remember from other movies (especially asian i.e. art of the devil, audition, etc.)
And, of course, some of the torture scenes in The Passion of the Christ. That is a wonderful movie.
Frenchie
Mississippi Burning had some twisted scenes.

EE is right, Passion of the Christ and its torture scenes.

the movie "fargo". when i first watched it back then when it first came out, i was pretty shocked to see the chopped body parts going inside the tree shredder.

I saw Aliens, when i was a kid, like over 10 years ago.

The scene where Bishop was cut up in half and you see his internal organs just flood out underneath. I was shocked.

I saw it again recently, realising Bishop was just a damn robot. :(
