I never have been able to view from that scene to the end. just tooo alsdfj;alskdfjal;skdjf;alksjf i stopped breathing, my heart was palpating, jesus Aronofsky is a genius to even make feel that for a glimpse of a second, I would know what it is to be addicted. jesus, another edit because it's so filty.

I'm desensitized to most everything, and on paper that scene seems like nothing. However, even I was like, "What the ? Holy !" and was really creeped out by it.

& Ellen Burstyn, what an epic performance. Genius! I don't know what shook me up more, the aforementioned scenario or her being shocked and the violent shaking of the screen, her scrambling delusionally in the winter with the soundtrack music or her delusion again in the doctors office & obtaining a prescription, no questions asked, while the screen was fading in and out.

hahaa. what a film, i can't handle it obviously.

+1

Excellent flick, very disturbing.

The Exorcist - the masturbation w/ the cross scene. i can't even type what she says because it's so horrifying.

this movie gets so much from today's generation because everyone thinks it is so lame, boring, funny ( :wtf: ), or the special effects are lame and cheesy, or any other flaming from today's digital age where if there isn't any flashy nice shiny things and stuff getting blown apart in a nice CGI fashion, it's considered shiite.

but this movie. to put yourself in Ellyn Bursten's shoes... the mother...having your child possessed and acting the way she did....i can't even begin to fathom.

this is one of my favorite movies....because it doesn't have all the flashyness of today's movies. it's RAW. you really feel like you are in that room.

ps, the scenes in the book were waaayyy more horrific.

The rape guy from Irreversible also played the rape guy in the recent Clive Owen, Jennifer Anniston film :nervous:

Thats the main problem with horror movies today...they have so many special effects that often aren't scary at all. They fail to focus on the psychological effects that a movie can have that really create fear from a horror movie.

For example Hitchcock's "Psycho" as well as other films he made often didn't even show people being killed but only silhouette of the scene occuring instead. Seems cheesy by today's standards but it is indeed scary in a way because although you don't see it you imagine it in your mind which can end up being scary as well.

Monster's Ball had some disturbing scenes and Texas Chainsaw Massacre was just plain gory and sick (and it wasn't even the uncut version)!

There was a pretty disturbing rape scene in Monster with Charlize Theron...when that nasty redneck was getting ready to shove a wrench up her . I was freaking out...

Irreversible - When that guy gets he's head smashed for a nice whole 1 minute or more... uncut scene looking at that head getting squashed by the fire extinguisher, and when the chick gets raped in the ass once again uncut in the tunnel.

Another nasty scenes are the one from Final Destination 3 I think it was when the girls are getting burned in that machine and you see all this little liquid burning things starting to pop out of their body..

Aaaannddd.. Hills have eyes or something, the goonie looking guys raping that little girl while another goonie looking guy starts sucking off her sister's .. and then the mother walks in to see that happening, all after seen her husband getting burned alive.

I hear cannibal holocaust has some of the most shocking scenes in history. I could never bring myself to watch that movie though.

its just not "shocking", i would consider it something else. easily the most ed up/twisted/sick movie i've ever seen, it made me puke the first time, no really i just couldn't handle it considering i've seen most afor mentioned movies and was ok. its banned pretty much everywhere and some scenes are real in it, like where they cut off the turtle's shell and skin it, and many more like it. so i suggest watch at your own risk, tht is if you can find it.
