Unfortunately I've never been lucky enough to live in the ghetto but a friend of mine in high school did. We had just gone out target shooting and were headed back to his house. We pull onto his street and the guy two doors down from him is literally beating the out of his girlfriend in the front yard. I'm talking like closed fist punching her, her face is all bloody and . I'm not really one for dudes who beat women so me and my friend get out of the car and were like WTF dude.
So the guy stops beating her and says "why dont you mind your own ing business before I cut you up" an he starts walking over to us. So at the same time me an my friend grab our shotguns outta the back seat and stuff a few shells in an my friend says "sure, come over here an cut me up fuker". The guy realizes fast he is on the losing end of that battle an says "I was just playin fellas its cool" an turns around to go home. Well his girl had gone inside and locked all the doors and called the cops so the dude had to run away on foot cuz he didn't have his car keys. I had to lol when the cops came and she had them impound the guys car so he could not come back and get it. |

my schoolbus got shot at during middle school. it wasn't really my bus [i was supposed to walk, because i didn't live far enough away from the school to get the bus], but that day i snuck on.
lotta random violence/gang related where i grew up. gotta love the west side of chicago. :D
where i'm at now, is a nice neighborhood. only random is like from bratty kids who have too much freedom.
my ma still sends me articles from back home about the old hood. not too shortly after we sold our house, our neighbor was sexually assaulted...in her hoom...during the afternoon hours.
numerous people in her complex are always in the police blotter/blog.
growing up with it, i just learned to get used to crime. |

Yeah I know and to be honest it all happened so fast I didn't really get a chance to think about it. I mean I would have shot the guy if I had to, he was obviously violent and he had a weapon, I'm just glad he had some common sense. |
