I'm soo glad that I decided to go to this party in the last moment. In one sentance, the music was amazing, people were awesome (I'm soooo glad that I finally met many TAs :)). I had to leave earlier though, because my firend's leg was hurting a lot (he broke it several months ago).

OMG!!!! I knew I was gonna have a good time but damn Preach you killed me. Got to the show late, Jay and I had the pleasure of finding some dude passed out right out front of your building door and we couldn't get out until Jay gave him a little nudge so we could open the door...LOL!!

Okay the review: So for all of you who said you where coming and didn't and for all of you who couldn't even think about coming...What a night to miss out on!!! I felt sick all night and still spent 90% of it dancing my ass off!!! This was the night EVERYONE has been looking for. Smaller venue, great friends and an even BETTER DJ. The vibe was great, good people having a great time. The tracks just kept on coming and coming. I did not want to leave at all....I went through waves of nausea all night but Preach made it so I could work through it and DANCE my ass off.

Kelly: Thank you for being a catalyst in getting Preach here. He is even better then you said if that is possible, sorry I had to leave early but I was so sick I shouldn¡¦t have even come out but it was MOTHER ING PREACH and damn I am glad I did. Next year at BeB screw the House room and that¡¦s right Deep Dish my ass will be listening to Preach until we leave ƒº

ECO, Gmoney and all my SI boys: Thanks for getting Preach here and putting on a great party.

Preach: Thanks for a great night, I know the venue was small but you have a new fan in everyone that was there and I for one will be at your next show in NYC where ever it is, So when is it?!?!?!?

The one complaint of the night, and I write this so the promoters know what's up. Jay and I have never been to Shelter in its new location so when we got there we asked the chick working the door if it was Shelter and her response was "Oh yea but this is an after hours club so if you come in your going to have to listen to this" then rolled her eyes and basically gave the impression that what was playing was and why would we want to be there. That is an error on Shelters part but just an FYI if you guys do anything there again. The person at the door should be selling the event no matter what and she was doing anything but.

I hope to have a few pictures up soon, my computer is a little wacky right now and it might take few days.

Again, one of the best nights of the year. I really hope Preach enjoyed himself enough to come back.

Sounds like it was a really successful night - congrats kelly eco and organizers :D

Sucks that I missed out :whip:
I was actually excited for it while we were at the game sat.

Between going to LOVE, waking up too early sat for drugscreening for a temp job I might be starting this wk,to spending too much time at yankees stadium under uncomfortable humidity/heat and then rain, it was just too much and I just couldn't handle it, got madd sick. Then a full day sunday morning thru night (got back from the game at midnight) and then having to wake up to go downtown by 9am today - I'm def feeling the aftereffects of very little sleep. Will def be sleeping madd early tonite cuz I'm probably starting work tomorrow.

I'm glad everyone had fun ^__^ also shelter sounds really great as a venue. I can't wait to hear the recorded set.

I had a great time playing down in the basement on Saturday night, lots of great energy! I was really surprised with Alex Pearce's set definitely different then what I think he normally plays but was very well executed and really got the crowd into it. I forgot how loud that system is, damn! Overall I thought it was a good turnout and Marcello did a great job running the party!

Yeah, that's a bummer. It's probably because she assumed you guys were there for the afterhours "Shelter" party. "Shelter" is technically the party and not the venue, it's kinda confusing. Other than this, I was very happy with the staff that night, in the future I'll bring that up if doing a party there. It's probably that she assumed you were for the deep house party and, coming at 2ish when you did, you'd have to a) pay our cover, and b) listen to our music a few hours. Still a bit dumb and messed up, but that probably explains it, sorry bout that!

Some of those pics are fantastic. Can't decide which is my favorite -
1) The Preach ladies
2) Wai with lights and Mike and Andrew looking lovingly at each other in the background
3) Mike biting Kelly's boob
4) Me and Wai as Gerard's harem/groupies

I heart you so much mere! I know half the reason you even came out was because you knew how much I loved the guy (and you trust my judgment!!) so thanks so much babe! I am truly happy that you enjoyed yourself and made it out!! :) :) :) and TRUST me I know what its like to come to a party after basking in the sun and drinking a load at a HUGE yankee game!! (hance why a couple **handfulls** of people not showing up)

****Preach gets the compliment of the year****: ^^MEREDITH (DEEP DISH WHORE) is SKIPPING DD for PREACH at bal en blanc next year!! :eyes: :eyes:   If Phillipe only knew how serious that is lololol. I am so glad you had fun even though you looked like you were gonna DIE :( :( lol :) :)

Side note: we really need to start supporting events like this, MYSELF included. I realize now, just how much of a risk it is to bring in a DJ who is huge in other parts of the world and trying to introduce them to the scene in the US. Its a risk for the promoters and even for the DJ....I think Phillipe made a lot of fans last night, but the crowd still wasnt at the caliber that is expected and that trickles down to the promoter and DJ making future risks in trying it again :( :(

hmmm..actually i was disappointed with his set. u cant mix hard techno with trance mr.preach!! decide what ur gonna play.. u cant put relic records and then throw me kings of the castle.. damn. i was expecting to hear a nice hard techno set!i don't know why but DJs performing in USA compared to Europe is like a totally different thing..last time i saw this kid in Amsterdam he ing ripped it!! anywayz..i think this is going to be the only negative review

  um you CANT?? last time I checked "MR." preach was very popular and had great reviews here and aroudn the world...AND if you had bothered to reads any of the threads, we had mentioned SEVERAL million times that preach now plays tech trance. (even put up MANY sets so that one could understand the style mentioned)

CANT play tech trance? Tell that to Sander van doorn, one of the most successful DJ's in the world the past few years.  You are entitiled to you opinion, but I personally think that if had played any harder, there would be people passing out on the dancefloor. eh, to each there own.

Btw: he isnt playing different in different COUNTRIES, he has actually just changed his style a bit. When u do that, you will gain fans and lose fans, but I for one, have BECOME a fan over the past couple years.
