OK HERE IS THE TUNE WITH THOSE MALE VOCALS ABOUT LOVE

IT's YOUR LUCKY DAY THE TUNE IS CALLED:

ERNESTO VS BASTAIN-LONELY PEOPLE on ALTITUDE RECORDS.

thanx to the DP Crew for helping me solve this!

NO WHO's GOT THIS ING TUNE, SPEAK UP!

This track is good, but it's not the one I was talkiing about, the one I am talking about was played at 3:04 exactly, I even thought I should remember the time and ask for the name later, unfortunately nobody remembers the track...

Same here, plus i'm 100% sure that he played "Strange World", so no "Legacy".

You're welcome for the "sound of goodbye" too :D
And just for the record, I think Mark O. played the last two tracks on that list ("You're Not Alone" - mixed into "Greece 2000", and "Ordinary World")... anywho, it was all good, even tho I was sober all nite long too (if it wasn't for you brunette, I'd die of freakin' boredom). I hope you didn't freeze your ass off in the morning, and got back home all right...

Oh, that was you who requested 'sound of goodbye!!
you made my night too :clown:

Overall I give it a 9/10. Hearing Communication, Airwave, Open Your Eyes, Seven Cities, Strange World, Carte Blanche… & a few other older tracks between M.O. & AvB in one night was amazing. Jazz & Heatscore always tell me how I missed out on hearing some of these tracks & they were right for saying so. I went for the music, accepted the crowd and walked out happier than ever…
:p

Yeah dude...I couldn't help it! I don't think I've ever heard a compilation of that many classics in such a short period of time. I was really suprised about that...it's nice to hear sets like that once in a while even if it is lacking in the flow department.

allright...2 days later and having time to reflect its my turn to post.

i'll get my bitching over with first. having never been to the guv before, i found it way to crowded. although from reading earlier shreads i guess that was to be expected, just not to that extent. also the vibe was crap for me. too many ginos, hoochie girls, coke heads (no really, right on the floor in front of me...christ) and "dudes" who all cant dance for and just stand there. really get off the floor and give me some room. oh yeah, also it was a billion degrees in there and i was tired from work...

anywhoo on to the good... free beer at the beginning of the night, although it was canadian and blue it was still cool. the gogo dancers were pretty hot. seeing a bunch of TA's even though i didnt go to the meet up cause im a dick and didnt want to miss the end of mark olivers set. dood with the orange holland jersey...i was your twin in the away jersey...represent! ummm mark oliver was rather good opening, i liked his set a lot. and then armin...what can i say....just freeking awesome, i wish i didnt have to leave to get to back to hamilton for work in the early morning...lotsa fun.

so over all i think it was a pretty good evening out. not a place i'd go to regularly but when they have big names in i'll defenatly consider. huzzah!:D

So, what more can I say that hasn't already been posted?! ...

Armin was wicked, playing classic after classic. I know many of you complain that he didn't play enough new stuff but I say that he was trying to keep up with the theme that it was the official last nite of partying in the old guv - there's been loads of memories for 6 years, they have to reminisce somehow! Overall I did enjoy hearing the classics again, it brought back a lot of memories of when I was a newbie to the entire partying scene! :D

The renovations are coming along nicely - sometimes I kinda forgot that we were at Guv. The lights were amazing, so much better and brighter. The crowd was definitely sketchy at times - I hate it when you don't realize where you are and then turn around to see that you're surrounded by old asian fobs .. eek!

All in all, it was a good nite ... TA's definitely know how to party hard! ;)

i know i'm a total Guv n00b, but where the fsck is the acid lounge in the guv anyways?

lol ... right when you walk in and you see the dance floor, hang a right and keep walking - it'll be on your right.

Okay, I guess I'm just repeating what others have said, but whatever... Armin in rocked! What an awesome set! Most of the best tunes out now were played, BUT there was one tune that woulda put that night in my top 5: Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth (Liquid Overdose remix). I was soooooo sure he was gonna play it! Why didn't he play it!? WHYYYYYYYY!? :(

hehe, oh well!

Didn't get to see too many TA's, and I had no clue about the meeting spot (my own fault). Saw Trancearmada for a few secs, Malice is da man, wish your bro was there too though! Nrg2nfinit always a pleasure chillin with ya, and I saw Swamper for a few secs too but he caught me just as 'Tranzy State Of Mind' was starting and I just HAD to go dance! :D

Not sure when my next party 'll be, isn't Picotto coming? Anyhow, I know it's a while away, but I hope to see everyone at the next Purple Heaven!
