Okay, first of all, last night was absolutely amazing. I love AVB and I'm so glad he noticed my "I love the DJ" shirt!!! He spun an incredible set. I think he spun Into the Night - 4 Strings didn't he? Anywayz, the Guv was way too packed. I made the mistake of going to the centre of the dance floor when Tranzy State of Mind came on. I got shoved and tramped on - being short really sucked last night. Besides that, I had a really great time. Armin rules!!! I was also impressed with Oliver last night too. Can't believe he spun Braveheart...I love that track.
Met a lot of new TA's last night too - Waxen, TimeToBurn, Stylez, HardcoreTrancer (think that's your name) and Durafei. Glad to meet up with the usual TA's - you know you are. TranceArmada, I've never really talked with you until yesterday. We've got to do it again. You're awesome!!!
Overall, I give AVB 8.5 out of 10. I can't wait to see him again!!! |

I Had such a great time, that i had to join this forum with you guys and gals. What a event. I said hi to a few with the TA shirts, and there were the 2 guys with www.armind.com shirts on who were video taping the event for the site in the coming weeks.. wish to get a copy guys. As for the music, omg who cares what he played it was armin van buuren :p :)
Oh yea i was the fella with the yellow visor for anyone who might have seen me or remember me. Visors soo out dated in to.. hehe in ktown here pplz still wear them :( anyways Awsome Awsome party. |

damn this party was totally kick ass. the night started off with me, my bro (Nightfly) and ckerr812 heading down to guv.. we got there and got in after a huge lineup. The Guv was totally packed thats true.. but i have to agree with special k that whinning about the crowd is pointless cause they'll always be there.. plus i dont mind ing up some hardcore gino thats done who knows how many drugs with my lightshows.. hehe its funny to see their eyes move around in circles as they fall backwards lol! :)
Anyways the night overall was a success.. armin played an amazing set totally off the wall.. I was all over the place after i lost my crew that i came with.. i Hung around with boy_ trance for a while at the begining (AWAKENINGS!!!!!!! AGH!!!!!!!).. and then i went to hang wiht swamper and timewarp in the middle for a bit.. then mostly stayed in the back with cloud 9, blitzz and trance, tranceextacy, Skybreak, and sarcomman, oh and my bro..
It was nice to see you TA's all again, skybreak.. last party we met at was the last armin.., Tranceextacy, cloud 9, blue neon (ITS NRG2NFINIT :O ) :) , Blitz N trance, Swamper, Timewarp, Sarcoman, 1 big guy that left early .. sorry i cant remember your name but we hung around together for a bit :) , War_Zone and i think that was about it.
Highlights: ARMIN COMMUNICATION!!!! GAHHHHH IT WAS GREAAAAAT, CARTE BLANCHE... DAMN I DIED FOR A THIRD TIME!!!!!, STRANGE WORLD!!! (MEMORIES!!!), EXHALE.. totally pumping.. damn the party was great overall.. i managed to get some dance room and i totally went all out :) The podium was fun too but then some lame ass old asian wiht dark glasses (probalby the one your talking about neon) told me to move because i was taking up room.. i just took up more room and ignored him lol.. if your gonna sit down.. go to the chill room.. dont bother me with your insolence :) :) Me and cloud 9 were kickin it up on the podium.. hehe.. giving light shows and having a great time simply just dancing....
also the legacy wasn't played.. it was actuallly hemstock and jennings - mirage of hope (lange remix)
oh and it was Zing who took the sasha and diggers pics.. ill try to grab em from him sometime
ANYWAYS IT WAS A GREAT PARTY.. we should start a tracklisting thread for the night...
Props to mark oliver for playing all those oldschool tracks.. it really ended the night off nicely

trancearmada, r u sure he played exhale twice? im pretty sure he played it once, while spinning alongside mark oliver. I think he played airwave twice tho; the first time when the lights were lowered and later on, only a different mix.
i personally loved armin's set, and in some cases was quite predictable (moonshine to start the show off), also, it was a nice surprise to hear Moments are forever :D didn't expect that at all |

WHAT THE FLYING !!!!! Lastnight was definitely i great night and one to remember! I was there with my girl --->liquidchick. I had such a great time despite the overcrowdiness (which was expected). I thought Armins set was great, but i think i liked him at State 01 better... maybe not... i don't know i'm still undecided...but still, it was great to hear alot of classics/anthems. Thought he played "Tranzy State" way to early in his set.
The crowd was alot more vocal than the last few times i was there. People complain aboutthe crowd, but he thing is you just have to learn to block them all out even if they are beside you, walking into you, or acting stupid. So now, the set up is starting to look great in the Guv, when it's done, it's really gonna look good.
The meet-up was great this time it was cool meeting TA's i haven't met before... Styles - you ing rule man, and know how to hype people up!!! Waxen - your awesome, great style you got going on, and the labels were great, not to big at all! HardcoreTrancer - definitely cool talking to you about the music and everything, Durafie - nice meeting you too bad we didn't get to talk much. Time2Burn - great meeting you man, and it's cool to see someone dancing and having a good time!!
Anyone i missed, can't remember everyone i met... it was nice for sure.
Also have to give my shouts to the regs... TranceArmada - best TA!!! good job with the tracklist. Heatscore, Jazz, Mikman - always fun. Xtc Totalle - great seeing you again!! and of course SWAMPER - Was that 2 girls in your arms lastnight or was i seeing something else there in the lounge haha... anyways, your the king and it's great to have someone responsible for bringing alot of cool people together!

wooooow Iam still going craaaaaaaazy!!Iam gonna remember last night for ever. I must say Mark Oliver was just amazing last night, I havent heard him play so many trance songs in a long time, I just hope he plays more trance when Guv reopens again,I just went insane when he played Minimalistix!!I think that was the last song he played before Armin came!!I dont remember exactly!!
I've seen Tiesto, Corsten, but I think Armin was amazing, I just wish he could come to Toronto more often!!
now when is the next big event?? Johan Gielen?? Tiesto??wooooow
I cant wait!!plus I wanna see all the TA's again, without u guys Guvernment would be !!really!! u guys are there truly for the love of music,everybody else are there for drugs or to pick up girls!!

The only ppl that bring a bad vibe anywhere are the ones that use all-inclusive statements regarding any group of people and assume they're all like that.
I've been going to guv since 1997 so I've been there since HipHop owned the main room... I'm used to partying with a bunch of different 'types' of ppl, others have a tougher time adjusting and look at it as an invasion of 'their' scene and all that blah blah.. Old story I don't have to go there.
Besides, it's normal to have a couple of ppl bitching about how overcrowded it is, relax - but, I'll say this - I haven't met anyone off the site who I've seen spreading bad vibes at the guv (or elsewhere for that matter).
The guvernment is putting on an event, you, as a paying customer, should be entitled to some level of comfort that doesn't involve getting your personal space invaded every 30 seconds..but..clubs don't really ever follow that so it's best to expect it and accept it cuz it's not going to change anytime soon. |
