The best way to learn how to produceTrance (pg. 3)

after all being said, who is going to share some source files here?

The trance experience book is supposed to be very good. I'm planning to buy it to help solidfy my knowledge and hopefully learn some new stuff.

producers not willing to share what they've seen and learned proves how much they are scared. As if there was any secret in music production.

For my part if you ask ppl who know me personally, I try to give them lots of advice. And techniques, too.

I'm not wanting to hold anything secret as I probably got it from someone else, too. That would be ridiculous.

But indeed, it would be nice writing some kind of interactive book (or video) explaining everything in the context. If only I had more time for doing this, that would be my pleasure.

I'd never consider myself as a teacher, however, much more as an eternal student wanting to learn something new every single day. And I wish all artists did the same.

and still no one is willing to take the 1st step to share their source files eh?

I'll share anything of mine.

I don't consider myself an expert or "pro," though. :p
MrJiveBoJingles
I've thought about this a lot, whether to be "greedy" with sounds, patches, or arrangements that I've made, and I decided to just share anything that anybody wants. The only exception would be if I were trying to release a track commercially: then I would keep the arrangement to myself, obviously. But I would still share the patches and samples I used in it.

Why not?

Wasn't there a thread here specifically for sharing synth patches and stuff at some point?

Maybe I'm thinking of another forum...

I think it's a better option showing how to do something from scratch.

videos DIY from scratch

I don't see you doing anything either.

i'm writing in response to those who are suggesting posting source files. but i don't see anyone doing it. if there's no one who's willing to do it, then close this thread already.

Imagen describing a square to someone who has never ever ever seen a square, then ask them to draw it. Thats what it is like when you tell a noob to google/search/read/etc etc...

Esp when you say "go learn on your own like everyone else did"..knowing, that NO ONE on this forum learned EVERYTHING bythemselves, and if you say you did, your a mother ing liar :P

I think, if you don't help the noobs out, they just become like every other zombie producer out there, who traces trance tracks that other people made.

Which is why, i'll post any exmple project files for anyone, aslong as i know how to do what you ask :P I use fruityloops 6

Actually, i'll start, by uploading all the project info for my last track. I'll post it in a sec, and give you a requirements list. [synths, effects etc you will need]

ok, here goes:

project zipped loop package: http://www.zshare.net/download/2880438b56a6d2/

also, i am not sure if the synth patchs i made will convert nicely, heh.

IMO the most important thing missing from this forum is a sense of inspiration...because if you think about it thats what all unique ideas start with.
