| what a lame celebration. I was waiting for an atv or at least a trampoline to come out of the goal post, &, instead, I get some sheet with iron-on patches, 10 minutes after the play? WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAK! |

Patriots are cheaters. That figures. Also provides insight to why Lance likes them.
NFL security confiscated a video camera and its tape from a New England Patriots employee on the team's sideline during Sunday's game against the Jets in a suspected spying incident, sources said. |

lol... ass...
too bad Goodell won't do , cause he knows the Pats and Colts are the only thing the NFL has got going for them...
and even if he does... OH NO... don't take our 7th round pick....
and how silly... we don't need to cheat against MANGINA... Belichick already knows his whole gameplan... |

the league with more parity & a better economic structure than any other professional sport. If there's anything that's been proven with the NFL, it's that the people involved don't matter (as you mentioned about the broadcasters). The fact that replacement players didn't hurt the league will forever prevent anybody from challenging it. They could kick NE out of the league and everything would be back to normal by next year.
also, this isn't the first time the patriots have been caught doing this. The same thing came up some time last year, which is why they have the new, stricter rules about who can be on the sidelines. |

I know this would never happen, but IF it did...
NFL would lose probably.... 1/4 of their revenue... you'd be cutting out the entire New England fan base... which as everyone knows... is in huge... and no one is stupid enough to do that... but if it did happen... then the NFL would be on the road to becoming the next NHL....
but anyway... all this talk of cheating is dumb... just because Randy Moss proves everyone wrong... bingo, Pats are cheaters.... so lame.... |

no, actually it's because you've got a videographer documenting signals coming from the other team. THAT'S why people are calling them cheaters.
And if you think NE accounts for 1/4 of the NFL revenue, you're sorely mistaken. That's not even close to being the case in baseball. The patriots aren't even the most popular team in the nfl. There was some huge poll done a few months ago (I can't find it), and the cowboys, bears, packers, & colts all came in ahead of the pats, with the 49ers right behind them. I remember it vividly, because I was waiting to see how legitimate the poll was, based on where the patriots were.
seriously, you're living in some sort of dream world if you think the nfl needs the patriots. |

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has determined that the New England Patriots violated league rules Sunday when they videotaped defensive signals by the New York Jets' coaches, according to league sources.
NFL security officials confiscated a camera and videotape from Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella on the New England sidelines when it was suspected he was recording the Jets' defensive signals. Sources say the visual evidence confirmed the suspicion.
Goodell is considering severe sanctions, including the possibility of docking the Patriots "multiple draft picks" because it is the competitive violation in the wake of a stern warning to all teams since he became commissioner, the sources said. The Patriots have been suspected in previous incidents.
The Patriots will be allowed an opportunity to present their case by Friday, sources said, most likely via the telephone.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said on Tuesday that no official decision has been made and that the club has not been notified.
The league also was reviewing a possible violation into the number of radio frequencies the Patriots were using during Sunday's game, sources said. The team did not have a satisfactory explanation when asked about possible irregularities in its communication setup during the game.
Goodell is expected to have a decision no later than Friday but that is not set in stone.
