I don't disagree he is the best head coach. But him shoving cameramen when he was walking to Mangini, his way with reporters and this recording of the Jets and Packers, it doesn't make him the classiest person... not completely classless, but you know what I mean. Being a great head coach and being a classy head coach are two different things Lance. There are some things that athletes I am a fan of do that I do not like and don't agree with... doesn't mean I'm a lesser fan by any means. |

I just don't get how you can say such things... everyone loves Belichick because he's the average man... he hates giving press conferences, he doesn't STRIVE to be in the spotlight, he just cares about one thing.... WINNING... and I think everyone in New England knows this, because of everything we hear come from his mouth or from people around him... I don't know one person in New England who thinks he is classless... and I'm being ONE HUNDRED percent honest.... no joke... maybe you don't listen to WEEI, or local New England media outlets... but there isn't one person who sees it your way, which is why i'm just dumbfounded.... |

I'm pretty sure most fans see how arrogant Belichick is. I mean he's kind of famous for that outside of New England. Sure people that love him don't say that. It's because those New Englanders are trapped inside their own personal myopia. Classless? Well if they cheated a long time then who knows. Not sure I'd go that far though. Most things I read say he's a lot like Mike Martz in terms of always thinking he's better than everyone. Which they have been 3 times.

I know he doesn't like giving press conferences and doesn't like the spotlight, but there are still some better ways to handle those situations. Crack a smile once in awhile... don't just storm off in the middle of press conferences... give credit to a team who out and out beats the Pats.
Your statement really doesn't applies to me in the fact that I'm from EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA!! Not New England, Not Massachusetts, Boston or the US. I don't listen to WEEI nor the local stations because I'm not local. I'm just a non-local fan of the Patriots (and Red Sox for that matter), but am not subjected to any local media bias. And I'm not saying only the New England area has it, that's the job of local media to support the local sports teams wholeheartedly. |

do they just not report the stories about him disrespecting his former employees, cheating on his wife, blatantly breaking rules to win games, & his physical confrontations with media members over there, or is this kool aid really that good?
Intentionally looking like crap isn't being a 'regular guy.' 'Regular guys' have respect for their peers & their jobs, & treat them with respect. They don't go out of their way to act in a way that screams "I don't have to do anything to please you, so suck my dick if you don't like it." That's just being a prick and an unappreciative . If that's the 'regular guy' in Boston, though, that explains a lot. Very mature. |

I don't think I have gone too far at all, nor have I blown this way out of proportion. I've given my opinion as a Patriots fan who is not a local. I think that has a lot to do with how you view my opinion and how others view my opinion on here. Bottom line is we got caught with a camera recording another team, we broke the rules. Take the punishment and move on. I'll still be cheering Sunday when Brady connects with Moss to take advantage of Quentin Jammer and the other weak Charger corners.
