new england looking really good today. who says you need a running game to win football games? new england missing their top 2 running backs, and still smack dallas around. that's a true explanation of how deep this new england offense is. their defense is the same as it was in the past, with a couple of new players in key positions. the big x factor that drives the pats defense is new england's defensive schemes, and hiding the linebacker/safety on delay blitzes.
i will also predict when the patriots will lose their 1st game. Nov. 25 vs Philadelphia. At new england, but the eagles pull the upset, although they have a mediocre record.
the patriots play the cowboys @ dallas, the colts @ indy, baltimore @ baltimore, and pittsburgh @ new england. if they can take 3 or 4 out of the 4, pats get my automatic pick to win the super bowl hands down. 2 out of 4, then a favorite for me, but not automatic. if they can only beat dallas, and lose the rest, then my vote is questionable.
as for randy moss, this is possibly the closest to the best chance for him to win the super bowl since that year with cris carter, warren moon, and robert smith. that team was running away with everything, until they lost in overtime by luck to atlanta in the nfc championship. i would mention the 2000 season when they got embarrased by the giants 41-0, but i don't know what the hell happened in that championship game. |

| What the hell was that in the Tennessee/Houston game?? 4 touchdowns in 1 quarter by SAGE ROSENFELS and a record 8 field goals by Bironas?? Amazing. |

what's also amazing is how houston actually came back after that interception with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter inside the titans 20 yard line, and the titans basically had that game wrapped up. the texans still were able to come back.
as for the patriots, just wow. they just want to beat everyone down like the red headed stepchild. and brady? 29 touchdowns after 7 games? that's nfl video game type of numbers. then again, i did manage to throw around 30 touchdowns and ALSO rush for an additional 20 touchdowns in madden one year. :wtf: i would have scored more touchdowns, but i usually punted the ball everytime i had the ball in the 4th quarter. so basically i was playing 3/4 of the game. but still. brady is projecting about 60 touchdown passes this year. |

it was Madden on PS2, but it was 2004. that was years ago. :o
