Sorry all, not a MC fan here but intrawest as a whole looks to be interesting for all of those discounts.
James, when you hitting whistler?
I'm looking at Jan 4-14th or so. Probably staying up in the village, btw, I need some info man..post it up, where to stay, eat, etc etc.
If you all want I can start the 2008 Snowboarders Skiier thread, with all these kids think. With today's chilly and grey weather out...it's just begging for snow!
As always, first post of the Skiiers/Boarders thread if someone ELSE wants to make it, could be nice to Copy and Paste from the previous thread or if everyones cool with me making it, I'll upgrade the first post to a new revision of information. Probably add an abroad section which NOW most of us (probably mostly James) can drop a dime on information as well as maybe schedule a group TA trip...
let this be the stomping grounds to setup how we want our boarders thread to be...and i'm sure a lot of people look at from other parts too...we are leaders, east coast style, we running this |
there's a pretty good sushi/japanese food place in whistler village, in the same commercial compound as the westin. the best food on the mountain that i had was at the lodge at the base of jersey cream and glacier expresses. a lot of the time we just cooked and got drunk at our condo. :) |

at least 4 west coast trips. 2 probably in the 3 day weekend range, and 2 in the entire week range. |

probably in early march. can't do early jan because i have the entire week off between christmas and new years and it would be wrong to ask for another week off right then. i like to go in early march because they usually get snow snow and more snow in march, and it's not too cold. Although it doesn't really get nasty cold up there.
you have to stay in whistler village. the condos are beautiful, its right next to all the food and drinking. As for food, i can promise you this, there is no bad food there. Everything is good. But specifically i liked a place called the Keg (good casual steak joint), Mongolie Grill (mongolian food), trattoria di umberto (obviously italian), and i wanna say BBK pub (good appetizers). There are so many places, no disappointments off the slopes. |

i stayed in upper village because it was cheaper and a little quieter. generally all the condos are the same so i don't think it will make too big of a difference. The walk to the base from upper village is only ten minutes.
i booked through whistler.com. (it's not the resort's site). i got great deals everytime. one bedroom condos for less than $150 a night. But that was in march, so im sure you'll pay a little more in january. |

whistler.com is good for whistler because all the condos are managed by a few managing agents and they list most of their properties with that website. You may see similar listings on those other sites. |
