another great night at guvy. First Half of my night was unreal, tunes tunes tunes, thanks marko,16bit and armin.
Armin was the highlight for me, was shocked at his proggy goodness, nice to see him getting away from playing all tech trance and getting back to solid entertaining sets. Still didn't approve of some of the fluff mind you.
16 bit, great to hear some tunes but very predicatble. solid nonetheless.
Danny T, really had trouble getting into his sound and i was dead tired and had beef with the mainroom soundsystem, really hurts the ears when the bass is cranked and distorted like that.

svd bit of a disapointment, last year i thought he was much much better.

Thats when he's at his BEST...totally agree, lose the over-techiness and go more proggy.

Whhhaaaattt?? Out of the 11 times I have seen Armin, this is the track have always requested on his website, made signs (cheese, I know)the whole nine yards and he played in on a night that I wasn't there....I'm hugely disappointed that I didn't go already and there's only 2 pages of reviews so far!!

well... another year that i promise myself that i won't go to labour of love, and i end up going anyway. it was 100% worth it though. the reason i didn't want to go was the obvious over-crowding, but i didn't see that at all. soooo much room to move, and it wasn't too hot. i spent the entire night in guv listening to 16 Bit Lolitas, and Danny T.
Tenaglia destroyed it! i thought his set was amazing. "LOSING MY RELIGION!!!!!" <-- song of the night for me. he also went on the mic at one point and told the "paparazzi" to stop taking his picture, and that if they want pics of him, wait until he's done his set. lol.
overall, i had an amazing time. alot of people we knew there, but alot less then normal. maybe previous labour of love's have scared the regular partiers away. it's too bad, because i would say it was one of the best "all-access" events i've been to. |

Decent time.
16BL were amazing! Off da Hook.
Didn't really get into AvB sets, and SvD was mediocre. His track selections were alright, but nothing great.
Kaskade Played a nice little set in the Orange Room!
Danny T was ing insane!! Some of the nicest dirtiest tracks I've heard and kept me going after I was already passed out. I felt at times that he was playing just a bit to slow, but that may have just been me.
Didn't find it busy at all. No one there during 16BL! Figured out a quick way to get from Guv to KH which was go through the Gallery as the Orange Room clogged everything up! Definitely thought it would be busier than it was and have seen it way worse! It wasn't even that hot!
Nice chilling with all you TAs again and to meet all you new ones (can't remember who off the top of my head)
PS. I heard like a dozen deadmau5 tracks! I know I heard Harder, Faster, Stronger (Deadmau5 Remix) atleast 3 times haha |

I agree :) ..Guv was amazing all night & I have seen KH much worse than what it was last night....not bad at all!

where was the other 8 bit? good tunes but as pett said very predictable!!!
Armin was good I only stayed for an hour of his set 1-2am (yes Ivan Josh and I bonded while he was sending you the text msgs) :D:D
Sander was nothing special like srsly something was off......his set at rum runners in London was probably one of the best sets of the year.....and why would he play "the space we are" again when Armin just finished droppin it?? and Control freak blaaaaaaaah hates that track!!!
Danny T was good for the first lil while but then he lost me at some points.....yeah DT's set from the Docks in 2005 was extremely versatile...last night was diff I was a bit bored a few times to be honest but I would have to say that overall it was good!
Set of the night for me....VINYL JUNKIES :):) awesome awesome beats in the Orange room...You guys delivered!!!!
checked out Yahel for a bit around 6:30ish ...good times :)
good friends...old and new:) didn't stay till the end had no energy lol.....hope everyone had a wicked time!!!!
