Say I killed someone and then someone else killed me out of revenge, they would still have to face prosecution.

OJ.. i don't think you get it. You can't prove libel and defemation of character if what is said about you is TRUE. If they were to sue him for libel, they'd have to prove that they never did what he claimed. Considering the contract and the no recording clause and the fact that the club were the only people with access to record it.. that would probably be pretty tough.

DJing or music production for that matter is not 'work', it's a hobby that pays, it's something you love to do, and if you really do love it, then how can you call it work. Work is working in construction, that's work.

sure it's work. They just have a better job than you.

I wouldn't go as far to equate paint to music. You can make art without paint, but can you DJ without music? I don't think so. There is a limit to how much mangling a DJ can do with music that's already pre-recorded, and as such you could NEVER compare DJing to music composition as a means of artistic expression.

I was making a point. From now on, everything that is to taken literally will be written in orange for the slow kids at the back of the room.

Forget the word 'work', it's his job, career, hobby that pays - oh, right...not if you steal his instead of buying it.

I know you were trying to make a point, I was simply saying it's a terrible one. Maybe I should bold that in orange for you to pick up on as well.

Oh really? So he didn't get paid for the gig, all that money disappeared because someone recorded one of his sets?

The point is not this one set, it's the principle...DON'T STEAL MUSIC!

[You are still God among Gods Danny, but sometimes you are too much!]

Like for example, detesting bottle service. Sure, I don't like what bottle service stands for, but the club has to make MONEY every night they operate. It would be hard to make a profit whenever Danny played just on cover charge + ticket sales alone. In fact, the irony is, the club would have to sell a lot of bottles in order to make sure the night is profitable.

Do you think Danny would ever lower his asking price if a club decided not to sell bottles to appease him? Hell, no!

I agree with that, don't steal music from the artists... but I couldn't really care as far as Danny T's ego goes. He makes it seem like he's even ABOVE the artists and that this whole thing is a travesty against him when infact it's really about the guys whose tracks he used in the set (and not just that one example of him using an 'exclusive' acappela)

DAS works for RIAA
Flec
why should a djs set being recorded and distributed online for free be treated any differently then when the same happens to huge pop artists or rock bands etc.
