to be honest nobody really gives a about his sets, it's good to have but if there is none no one really cares. I agree with him regarding the contract and how he was lied to even though he was told that he's not going to be recorded but , even if they did, sue them or something, stop going there, no need to cry on a message board and tell dj's not to play there. It seriously feels like he's way behind times, he needs to grow up and realize that nowadays everyone gets recorded, it's the way it is (digital age or w/e) and i'm sure this will happen again numerous times in the future and there is nothing he can do about it. What is he going to do in 5-10 years when there's going to be camera's so good that people would be able to record perfect video/audio for 4-5hours non stop? seriously, pretty pathetic.

I love it..

More power to him.

He has his principles and beliefs and stands up for them. When I am wronged I tell everyone I know in hope that I can get their support. Danny obviously has a wider social network than I do but he is simply doing the same thing.

I assume this was originally posted on HIS message board???

Think of the last time some one f**ked you over - how did you feel???

If you don't agree with him based on your principles then don't support him. Stop going to his shows, don't book him, don't listen to his music. He obviously does not want you there any way...

I agree with your point that he appears to be MASSIVELY out of touch with what is happening with technology. Furthermore, in a chaotic club environment it will be totally impossible to prevent individuals from making digital and audio recordings with their phones or cameras, no matter how many times Danny interrupts his set, takes the mic, and asks people to stop. Not gonna happen.

Please recognize the difference between someone holding a digital camera or personal voice recorder in the air to catch his set, and setting up a professional recording deck with a feed from the desk in violation of his conract.

I am well aware of the distinction, thanks.

He has been whining about people taking pictures and videos for ages. He really needs to get over it -- it's a total buzzkill.

Wasn't aware of this.

Seriously? Taking pictures? Danny T, for better or for worse you are a minor celebrity (in the grand scheme of celebrity)and if people are going to pay $20, $40, $60 to see you spin, they have every right to take a photo of you. Before, I thought he had a valid point and had just blown up from frustration...we all do. Now, having heard that? you you little princess. Respect your fans and customers.

Actually, I'll hold that ' you' until I get independent varification. Anyone?

Danny T is more than happy to have photos taken by fans.

If you look at my photos from the night you'll see that he even poses nicely for the shots. He even comes down after his gig to hang out and take photos with EVERYBODY who wants them.

When Danny T makes suggestions about not taking photos at certain times - it is because he wants people to focus on the party at hand and not being preoccupied with taking photos.

Frankly the logic makes a lot of sense to me. If I was a performer I'd want people to enjoy the performance and not be distracted by perpetual photo taking as well.

It's a dance party - not a photo party. Take a few photos, no problem. Distract yourself, others and the performer with non-stop clicking and it becomes a detriment to all involved.

hah Honestly, my new pet peeve in a club is being deep in a crowd and having some dude standing in front of me holding his camera level for 10 mins at a time taking videos all night. man, you're here NOW, wouldn't you rather have that lived experience, rather than watching it over and over on youTube!?!? DANCE FFS.

Not only that but his camera is usually blocking my view, and contributing in NO way to the party.

(I think Danny T is saying a little bit of that as well)
