Keep it up. I'll turn this car right around, Mister. RIGHT AROUND.
It's not really a matter of aesthetics... do you honestly believe that the opening to the birth canal is a 'beautiful' orifice? I mean, just because there is a strong attraction to it doesn't mean it looks good in some sort of artistic sense. I can think that a haphazardly constructed sandwich looks delicious, but I wouldn't hang it on my wall nor wax poetically about its soft edges and beefy appeal... I'd just eat it because that's what it's for. |
Well I'm talking about Circumcised penors looking hotter than anteaters and bare vag's looking hotter than hairy ones.
No i wouldn't want a sculpture of a penis standing upright in my living room. |

Well if there's a medical reason then it obviously makes sense- just like any operation. I wouldn't circumcise my son(s) just for the hell of it, but "barbaric" is a pretty strong word.
The problem I have with all this talk of mutilation and barbarism is that it seems to imply that I'm somehow deformed because of my difference. This "Norm UK" group annoyed me right down to its name, which clearly implies that I'm somehow abnormal. I'm not accusing you of that, but it seems to be an unsaid assumption hovering around the issue. |
Being circumcised is not natural... so if you are comparing it to the natural male form, it is "abnormal". An alteration of the body from its original state is going to be an anomaly.
With that said, it doesn't mean you are "weird", "deformed" or "strange". It means you're different.
Not to mention, it has become a common procedure that seems to be accepted by a large portion of people, and has therefore managed to attain its own definition of "normal".
Personally, I don't think being "normal"/"deformed"/"different" blah blah blah are legitimate reasons to have or not have it done. It should come down to the logistics.
I believe in a previous thread where this same topic was discussed, Jenny mentioned that older men who have difficulty taking care of themselves will often get more infections when they are not circumcised. That makes sense. However, the possibility of problems in old age is not a good enough reason for me to have the procedure done on my child.
Men should have the choice to have the surgery done when they are older; when they can understand the consequences/benefits.
I am not really an advocate of doing any permanent alterations to a person's body until they are able to make the decision themselves. I understand that there are extreme exceptions to the rule, but circumcision is not one of them IMO. |

Trimming fingernails.
And don't even try to bring up the permanence debate - I've had to cut my foreskin off SIX times this year so far, keeps growing back. |

I just uncircumcised myself and fapped just to check the difference. Incredible.
It's just like "going black." |

Not until she is old enough to know she wants them, and asks for them.
Halcyon, trimming fingernails is a ridiculous comparison. Obviously hair and nails are not included in permanent alteration, as they are constantly growing back. Not to mention that sharp nails on a child can result in injury. |

ing, so can excessive foreskin. Once, as a kid, I tried to jump over a fence and my foreskin got caught on a loose nail, ripped it right the off. Blood everywhere. Was a total ing mess. Don't you tell me foreskin isn't dangerous. I KNOW it's dangerous.
//course, this was before Vietnam, so nobody was getting circumcised. I was mocked my entire life for having a shredded/missing foreskin. It caused emotional injuries. |
