once a regular dick has become circumsized, it can never go back to being a regular dick again.
being cut FTW....of course i don't think i can ever be a penis puppeteer (i'm assuming those guys are not cut) |

Don't they have some way of stretching a new foreskin for you? Obviously not as good as the original (I guess?) but it is possible.
Cut here with no problems, and never really understood the two rabid sides of this arguement. |

Just because uncircumcised men were more likely to get aids does not mean it correlated with the fact that they were uncircumcised. Perhaps it was because circumcised men did not enjoy sex as much as the uncircumcised men, and therefore had less sex, which ultimately resulted in less opportunity for aids to be transmitted.
There is no definitive proof that being circumcised will help protect against HIV. What are the scientific, proven facts showing that this is true?
If they were able to prove that being uncircumcised resulted in "tearing" of the vaginal walls, which resulted in blood transfer, resulting in aids transfer, or something of the sort, I would be more inclined to understand/believe.
Otherwise it seems like a coincidence to me.
EDIT:
The same could be said for female circumcision.
"Women who are circumcised are less likely to contract aids!!"
I wonder why? Maybe because they aren't as inclined to have as much sex? |

| On the other hand, if people never followed up on corollary evidence simply because it's just "coincidence", no one would ever figure anything out. |

That's an extraneous variable - though a good point - certainly does not account for the overwhelming results over such a large study:
| quote: | | The NIH has been sponsoring two trials — one with 5,000 men, ages 15 to 49, in Uganda and a second with 2,784 men, 18-24, in Kenya. Half the men voluntarily underwent circumcision. The men were then monitored for about two years. Far more of the uncircumcised men became infected with HIV. |
That's pretty big.
There's really no such thing as 'definitive proof' ever - we can only make studies stretched over enough time and collecting data from a great number of prospects to the point where extraneous doubt is overwhelmed with statistical conclusions which either support or deny the study. |
