I'm glad it's a 3 team race in the AL East and the NL East. It'll make for some memorable tight finishes come late September.
As for ballparks, I did check out the new Nationals Ballpark in DC. Overall they did a good job with the park, but the exterior architecture is a bit bland. Would have been nice if they had some distinct touches to the ballpark besides cherry trees.
I'm already excited for the new ballparks opening next year here. We NYC baseball fans are way past due for better ballparks.
I'll be visiting Coors Field, Kauffman Stadium and Safeco Field in September :gsmile: |
i was supposed to see a game last thursday at coors field, however, the client wanted the company's skybox seats and we couldn't get them (even though we had field box seats). |

Which hotel you're staying at? When I was there for business 2 years ago, I was at the JW in Cherry Creek.
My timing for that Denver trip was perfect. It was right before baseball season started and both the Avs and the Nuggets were out of town :whip: |

i've been at the hyatt regency in the DTC monday - thursday since the start of july. hopefully this is the last week of consistently traveling out here and the trips will be more sporatic in the future. |

No need to throw the Baltimore pitcher out of the game... But that's what almost got them to come back.
A-Rod tried to kill it in the 9th, he should've gotten ahead of the count or just made contact.
Cano is worthless... |

Didn't he have a 2-run single in the game? |

The guy is hitting almost .250 now and was 1 for 5 the whole game. He is useless in clutch at-bats. In the 9th he blew it. |

Does anyone here think the Angels are not the clear favorites to win the AL after adding Teixiera?
The one thing they've consistently lacked is a big bat to back Vlad - you combine that with their speed, starting and late inning relief pitching and I think they're the team to beat. Would love to hear contradictory arguments though. |

If he didn't hit the 2-run single, then the 9th inning would've been completely worthless anyway.
I hate "clutch" at-bats. |
