big trades happening, manny to the marlins, pudge coming to pinstripes.
i'm not sure how i feel about giving up farnesworth, he definitely was coming around and does have experience in the pen. I do want to say though that I was never a fan of him, in my opinion (and even now) he's too flat. his fastball is pretty flat but he has been pitching well. pudge on the other hand, I've always been a favorite of. I like his game, it's compact and he can hurt you with the long ball. With jorge out for the season, i think it's a good move to have him and molina into the post season. |

Honestly, this deal was dead from the beginning. It makes no sense for the Sox to trade him now. Why give up prospects, cash and Manny for pretty much anyone, especially Bay, when you can show Ramirez the door at the end of the year, keep your prospects and use your cash in the FA market.
