the ebay was legit, but when i searched the model number on google nothing came up...but i had already purchased it. the seller was a total dick, but he had some right to be. customer service doesnt much exist on ebay i guess.

ships tuesday so i guess i may have it by the end of the week, he wouldnt detail shipping but it supp cost 16 bucks. tho i doubt it will be priority|

lol ebay = shipping ripoff. I personally try to avoid ebay most of the time now.

Should be going SLI soon too. Building your own PC is fun.

I'm using the same CM stacker case and also watercooling it, with a very similar setup. I'm using a heatercore from a 1977 Bonneville, and I made a shroud for it from sheetmetal and painted it a metalic blue pearl to match the blue LED's all throughout. Its been a beast of a machine for 3 years. Only thing I want to upgrade is the video card from the 7800GTX to the 9800GTX + the waterblock for it.

Make sure to slipstream sp4 in that thing if it isn't already. I am sure you can slipstream all the hotfixes too.

i may go a different route, but i am waaay ahead of you there.

also it looks like my new mobo comes with a p3 1.2ghz, is the 1.13 still the one to go with? i suppose i can try both - and seeing the product when it gets here may change my views, but it also doesnt seem there would be much difference. if the 1.2 is the 512 cache it might offer a bit of a benefit.

like i said the seller didnt tell me much and was a dbag which i tried to get more info outta him|

yeah. I had a similar problem with a jackass ebay seller. He was literally 10mins away, but wouldn't allow me to pick the item up. He was in a residential neighborhood too. .

well i sent him a ebay message before i won asking what the max mem on that board was...no reply

after i won i sent him a message asking the first question and something about shipping...no reply

i waited 3 days and after seeing his 'shipping policy' sent him a direct email asking what was up and why he hadnt responded and why i couldnt find any info on google about the board number he had listed. to which he replied 'its not my job to research my items for the buyer, thats YOUR job...'

in some ways he is right, but i guess ebay sellers dont have to provide ANY customer service apparently. its the only sales job in the world that doesnt...i guess i just got lucky when i did buy something from someone who responded to my queries years ago and expected some decency|

Most do. What I like the most, is when real massive companies, like motorola, are selling direct on there.

so what do you think? try the 1.13 first or the 1.2 that comes with the board?

iirc the 1.13 was more stable than the 1.2 and they subsequently quickly discontinued the 1.2 chips.
