| the real detroit stage was the place to be for the close. i thought they closed the 'underground' stage 2 years ago, so finding kevin saunderson playing there to an absolutely out-of-control crowd was just awesome. music was alright, but it was just a great experience to end the festival. |

Would have loved to have the energy to make it there Monday morning...but am actually glad I couldn't. I would have been burnt out the rest of the day, and I was beginning to lose my voice.

The thing is, it never hurt - it was just gone. And it's still not all the way back, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was at Oslo.
I will never forget walking up to Lee Foss at the festival Saturday afternoon to say hi and having him just look at me with the most shocked expression and go " bro! Your voice is gone! It's the second ing day..." or something like that. Either way, it was hilarious.
