Well, I've only seen him once - but between that and the bulk of what I've heard from him from downloads etc., I think he's just "Hawtin Lite", and since I'm not much of a fan of Hawtin either, it doesn't bode well for Pierce.
He's got a few productions that I don't mind, but overall he's just put me to sleep as a DJ. |

Well that's the only party with a recognizable dj.. I think he played up here sometime last year. Prob at Cielo but I didn't go.

Some of the best guys you'll see at DEMF after parties will be people you've never heard of and will never of again following the weekend.

Also, I move we (as a group) pick one Ghetto Tech party to rock out at together. There is nothing more beautiful than Ghetto Tech at Sunrise in Detroit, Michigan during DEMF.

I'm going the m-nus route Saturday. If it turns into the snoozefest everyone claims it's guaranteed to be, I'll go from there.

I saw him play both a club here, and do a 6hr set at afters, and though he does stick to the m_nus minimal fare for the most part, I think he's been switching up his sound a lot lately. Maybe it was a fluke, but when he was here he was really ing good, and I usually cant stand that sound for too long. Hawtin has bored me on several occasions, but Magda & Troy seem to branch out a bit more. Troy played some really interesting tracks last time, some of the stuff he played late in the morning at afters was some of the most bizarre and mind warping music I've ever heard. And I'm sure the K had nothing to do with it. :o :p

I saw him at Fabric back in March, he was "ok" at best.
Magda demolished as did Beyer. |
