Here's a question...

If I plug the iphone into my deck via the ipod connector, and also connect the phone via bluetooth for calls, will it mute audio and switch to phone for the call???

iPhone 3G lines start at the Apple Cube... one week early

by Joshua Topolsky, posted Jul 4th 2008 at 4:53PMBreaking News

So we heard some really over-eager folks have decided to get a jump on the iPhone 3G line -- a really, really big jump. Obviously, we had to head down and see if it was true... and it is. Right now, about ten people have started a line outside of Apple's flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York. Word is that the family at the head of the queue are attempting to break some kind of record which involves their baby -- which kind of sounds a little intense if you ask us. On the other hand, you didn't hear Greg Packer complaining, right? We're going to wrangle some of these cats for an interview and video, so stay tuned! For right now, check some more pics after the break.

Update: We got a chance to speak with group leader Daniel on video, who let us in the gang's desire to break the world record for waiting in line, as well as some... er, broad political ideas. We also learned that the baby probably won't be forced to stay outside of the Apple Store all week. See it for yourself in the clip after the break!

Sign this petition, they want 25,000: http://www.ruinediphone.com

The plans have no "unlimited incoming anytime" voice calls feature,
I already have that on a cheap Fido plan so why not on the iPhone.
:whip:

***UPDATE***
That petition site seems to have been shut down, maybe the traffic cost the guy too much. They had over 22,000 signatures last I looked.

Just signed - The petition is now at 35,629.

was talking to someone at a rogers store the other day, you can only get the iphone by signing a 3 year contract with them. It's not going to be available for purchase on it's own, or for a shorter contract term.. it's 3 years or nothing.

Yup, unfortunately iPods brought so many restarted fanboys who don't know about Apple and technology in general.

i kinda skimmed through the thread cause i really don't care about the iphone, but i just wanted to mention:

I LOVE MY HTC TOUCH !!!

Yes it has a slow processor, but that aside, it is by far the most functional device I've ever owned. It's a phone, a GPS (with a bluetooth receiver on my keys), an MP3 Player, its my organizer, i use it to check my email and send them, browse the web, chat on msn time to time, and more, i absolutely adore it. my next phone purchase will surely be another windows mobile device.

I also own an HTC Touch and I'm with you on this, that when this old goat that was given to me retires... I'm going to find the modern version of it. It's like a tiny computer at your fingertips. They have some pretty sexy Pocket Pc's running under Windows Mobile 6.0. I'll have to do my research to select another. http://www.gsmarena.com/ has lots of stuff to choose from.

Ah, the drama continues:

It seems Apple has interest in the Rogers prices too.
Only 10 or 20 phones per store. Anyone have a friend in Wawa that can grab me a phone ;)
