For those who can't wait until March, pre-order using the link provided. You will be surprised how much the final cost is even if you live in the US, plus you get it earlier.

Personally I think its a great album and probably somewhat better than Tenshi stated. I know many people feel with that many tracks it's going to sound very clinical and "busy", but that's simply not the case.

There are obvious transitions at times, but much of the time you can't even pinpoint where one ends and one begins. It is a very clubby mix, and i'm sure Joris fans will love it.

See, differing opinons about the same piece of work. ;)

Im looking forward to this, most wanted mix album of the year, just to hear pieces of all those tracks by those talented producers if nothing at all. :D

1) What does this say about what it takes to get people's attention today in the world of pro mixes?

I must say that it does take a few listens to absorb the complexity of the mix, which on the first few occassions isnt that apparent.. After giving it a few rubs and listening to it loud on a proper set of speakers or headphones, I can safely say thats its one of the best mix cds for quite sometime, if not ever.. right up there with the genre changing moments of Holdens effort, but taking it to the next level... word.

Im going to take this as more of an artist album, in the vein of Involver than a traditional mix cd. You cant really pull off 52 track mix in under an hour and a half in a live setting consistently, without heavy heavy programming ahead of time. And the way hes probably mixing these tracks is that hes probably using the bits and pieces of tunes as instruments to create textures that span the length of a normal track would, but then changing those textures for the next span. So in essence this is closer to the involver idea, its own version of that idea, than it is a mix cd. Maybe we can call it an album after listening to it. Once again, cant wait to listen to Joris Voorn's Balance.

Indeed, Joris used snaps n bits n pieces of the 52 tracks to make each consecutive track, lets say, track 1.01, track 1.02, etc.... So yes, its somehow an artist album. Pulling this isnt an ordinary mix comp job
