Where are the pathetic supporters of this pick now?

What a complete ing joke McCain's selection has become. I hope the Republican's entire campaign burns in flames from this point forward. The American press is already reporting that Obama's numbers are up big in a few battleground states.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live. After the legislature passed a spending bill in April, Palin went through the measure reducing and eliminating funds for programs she opposed. Inking her initials on the legislation -- "SP" -- Palin reduced funding for Covenant House Alaska by more than 20 percent, cutting funds from $5 million to $3.9 million. Covenant House is a mix of programs and shelters for troubled youths, including Passage House, which is a transitional home for teenage mothers. According to Passage House's web site, its purpose is to provide "young mothers a place to live with their babies for up to eighteen months while they gain the necessary skills and resources to change their lives" and help teen moms "become productive, successful, independent adults who create and provide a stable environment for themselves and their families." Palin's own daughter, Bristol, is five months pregnant and has plans to wed. "Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family," Palin said in a statement released by the McCain campaign. "We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi's privacy, as has always been the tradition of children of candidates." Earlier today the Associated Press reported that Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, opposed funding to prevent teen pregnancies, a position that Palin also took as governor. "The explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support," she wrote in a 2006 questionnaire distributed among gubernatorial candidates. Reporters asked McCain in November 2007 whether he supported grants for sex education in the United States, whether such programs should include directions for using contraceptives and whether he supports President Bush's policy of promoting abstinence. "Ahhh, I think I support the president's policy," McCain said.

Voting for Sarah Palin...

Isn't it like voting for Britney Spears' mom?

Same sh!t, different pile, no?

R.I.P. McCain

Committing political suicide is worse then genocide...or the same thing!

the equation McCain= x Palin= y America= n terrorist= t

x+y=n #=4(years) #-x=y=n
y=n
thus t=n-x
n-x=y
thus t=y
therefore Palin as Pres equals boooooom there goes the state and boooom there goes the world and booooom Einstein was correct
wwiv will be fought with sticks and stones...

it was just fear mongering, doubt raising and outright attacks with an obvious and off putting amount of sarcasm. Obama isn't qualified to do this, he isn't qualified to do that, he doesn't care about the country or terrorism, he's gonna raise taxes (this is CLEARLY NOT TRUE but I'm sure we'll keep hearing the same rhetoric all the way until election day), etc...basically typical Republican tactics.

I would like to think (and am starting to suspect) that a lot of Americans are going to see past it this time. In her speech, Palin offered nothing in terms of actual ideology or policy initiatives, just like John McCain hasn't offered anything substantial.

She might have rallied the so called "Republican base" (and judging by the makeup of that convention, it's no base I'd belong to) and it might have looked impressive on TV, but I have serious doubts as to whether she's going to win much support for McCain. Republican strategists are already predicting she'll only campaign in the "safe" areas of Republican support, mostly in rural communities, an obvious sign of her poor readiness to take on presidential duties.

I really can't help but laugh when I watch these right wingers get together and go on about how great they are. It is high comedy.

They provided to solution or plans AT ALL.Yet the claim they are the party of "change"....

lol in regards to Obama raising the taxes,he wants to raise taxes on people who make 200K or more and since more of these Repulicans know that they are the ones who will have to pay the price for it that idea simply scares them.

Exactly all they do is make the other party look like the bad guy and nothing else. How about the economy?why havent we heard any plans from the Republican party in the last 3 days regarding the economy?

That crowd was a in disaster,it was scary in a way.:nervous:

Have you noticed that there is media blackout on all the massive protests that are happening right now?I cant believe how anyone is hardly paying any attention to it.I guess there is nothing wrong with the country and no reason to protest about.

so many lefties think obama is a shoe in. Ill laugh if and when mccain wins. Even if obama happens to win its not the cakewalk that the arrogant left has thought it would be. Without a teleprompter, there really isnt much to obama. Its almost embarrassing how he stumbles through interviews when he actually has to talk about topics.
