What a complete ing joke McCain's selection has become. I hope the Republican's entire campaign burns in flames from this point forward. The American press is already reporting that Obama's numbers are up big in a few battleground states. |

John McCain (Ariz.), the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, opposed funding to prevent teen pregnancies, a position that Palin also took as governor. "The explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support," she wrote in a 2006 questionnaire distributed among gubernatorial candidates. Reporters asked McCain in November 2007 whether he supported grants for sex education in the United States, whether such programs should include directions for using contraceptives and whether he supports President Bush's policy of promoting abstinence. "Ahhh, I think I support the president's policy," McCain said. |

it was just fear mongering, doubt raising and outright attacks with an obvious and off putting amount of sarcasm. Obama isn't qualified to do this, he isn't qualified to do that, he doesn't care about the country or terrorism, he's gonna raise taxes (this is CLEARLY NOT TRUE but I'm sure we'll keep hearing the same rhetoric all the way until election day), etc...basically typical Republican tactics.
I would like to think (and am starting to suspect) that a lot of Americans are going to see past it this time. In her speech, Palin offered nothing in terms of actual ideology or policy initiatives, just like John McCain hasn't offered anything substantial.
She might have rallied the so called "Republican base" (and judging by the makeup of that convention, it's no base I'd belong to) and it might have looked impressive on TV, but I have serious doubts as to whether she's going to win much support for McCain. Republican strategists are already predicting she'll only campaign in the "safe" areas of Republican support, mostly in rural communities, an obvious sign of her poor readiness to take on presidential duties.
I really can't help but laugh when I watch these right wingers get together and go on about how great they are. It is high comedy. |

They provided to solution or plans AT ALL.Yet the claim they are the party of "change"....
lol in regards to Obama raising the taxes,he wants to raise taxes on people who make 200K or more and since more of these Repulicans know that they are the ones who will have to pay the price for it that idea simply scares them.

Exactly all they do is make the other party look like the bad guy and nothing else.How about the economy?why havent we heard any plans from the Republican party in the last 3 days regarding the economy?

I just cant wait for the VP debates in less then a month.Biden will simply bend her over and give it to her proper.:D

Without a teleprompter, there really isnt much to obama. Its almost embarrassing how he stumbles through interviews when he actually has to talk about topics. |
