I agree, and I'm not actually religious at all, but "luck" or "fate" or whatever you want to call it, has clearly not been kind to Canadian franchises since Montreal's unforgettable run in 1993, which I still clearly remember, series to series and all the games in the final (and the Leafs series too). It's because I'm ing old.
So what's this about Schneider coming back? Was Gainey ing with the media? |

explain that one please lol.
as much as i think that bettman is a little rat, i don't blame the cup not being back in canada on him.
if anything the salary cap and a few other policies he put in (BIG EXCEPTION ON THE REVENUE SHARING POLICY), has actually given Canadian team a better shot at competing then they had before it was put into place. |
Bettman doesn't want to see Canadian Teams in the Finals simply because ratings in the states will go even lower. He's wanted his legacy to be bringing the NHL to the States and making thrive. He clearly doesn't want more teams in Canada and he will do everything in his power to prevent either expansion teams or relocated teams to come to Canada. He refuses to admit that everything he has worked for has failed. Hell, he refuses to believe that teams like the Coyotes, Lightning, Panthers, etc. are loosing tons of money and are failing franchises. |

"Apr 9 Schneider (shoulder) was on the ice Thursday morning for the Canadiens' game-day skate at the TD Banknorth Garden, the Boston Globe reports.
Recommendation: GM/Coach Bob Gainey said there is a "good possibility" that Schneider will play Thursday against the Bruins, which would be great news for a Habs' power play dealing with the loss of Andrei Markov. "
pretty big guys. |

| This might very likely be Schneider's last year in the NHL, so I can understand the rationale behind playing hurt. Let's hope it pays off, I still don't see us doing much damage into the post season. I hope so, but don't have that much hope. |

listen....reports say that markov isn't doing badly....if we can get him back maybe in a week or two, then we're in good shape. getting schneider back tonight would be a HUGE boost as well. |

If you think that even with Markov we are anywhere close to beating the premier teams in the league in the playoffs, you must be a trance fan if you love lost causes like this.
Like Vermz might say," AK47 qui vlade toute sur un biscuit Koho en poursuivant le Vezina de Burlington." |
