And of course EDM falls into that category because the Top 40 rap/hip hop scene is all about flowers and hugs.

LOL@"Calming LED lights" Yea lets all go to a ing club and fall asleep. That's my kind of party!!!

no idea. i wouldn't be too hopeful about it staying open. but TiL isn't the comfort zone so it could definitely go either way.

i congratulate them on saving the existing buildings... but i wish we could build something in the 21st century that resembles more than a glass box...

somewhat bad news..

I am contemplating on going this weekend..

really.. if i win the 26 million on lotto649,, I am going to buy CZ and the waverly and silver dollar and turn it into a completely private club. That way people can go party have a drink and have a hotel room if they wanted.. Is there any limitations on cops going into private clubs? i think if CZ did this and made it private then there wouldn't be as much problems and the members can be pre-screened. Membership would have benefits. Also if its completely private i bet there would be no need for permits or licensees.

cops can do whatever they want. And "private clubs" that serve booze are still under the AGCO otherwise it's illegal.... so it's no different than what happens now.

I didn't even know what the zone was when I moved to the area.

I have lived in the neighborhood for years and pass through that intersection multiple times per day including on weekends and that is my observation, and for that reason, I would not lose any sleep if the zone closed. Maybe when you move to the neighborhood we could take a stroll through there together and see what your thoughts are. Until then....keep on with your hypothetical arguments, and I will keep talking about what actually happens there, cool?

I used to live at college and spadina.... and the zone doesnt really affect the area at all. So what some sweaty people come out of the doors at odd times of the afternoon but no one causes any trouble. The area is more sketchy due to the homeless shelter located right beside the zone.... There is also a CAMH right across the street... which probably contains a fair bit of unstable people, obviously..

Most people that pass by the area probably dont even know it exists, its only a black door really!

soo in that case i wouldn't make it a private club. I would make it my residence.. how much do you think cz, waverly and silver dollar are worth all together?

you still wouldnt be allowed to sell alcohol. Youd have to give it away or face charges. Also in nanny state ontario you would be responisble for paying the taxi bill for each and every guest.

then you obviously didnt do enough research on your neighbourhood. Is that the zone's fault or yours?
