Although I don't agree with all her rationale, I hold the same opinion as Skipper's in wanting this place to close.
I've never been, and I have several friends who swear by it and tell me it's not that sketch, it's just a normal place and just mind your own business, but I've always had an instinctively bad feeling about this place. LOL that's all I've got to support my opinion. :p |

The Zone is a legend of its own kind. I was at a techno club out here in Glasgow one nite and met some guys, told them i was from TO and the first thing they said is OMG we were there in the summer and went to the Zone (turns out they saw the roaches, didnt know their name but described them as a shorter bald guy and a tall bald guy), have u been!? I LOL'd! GO ZONE :) |
When I was in London I would get more comments about the Zone than Guv when I would say I was from Toronto...
ps. were you at The Arches? |

Well I think you need to make a visit to the zone before you poke your head in this thread again :D |

I try to live up to this saying.
Don't knock anything until you've tried it once. (Unless it's something absolutely stupid) |

I couldn't care less about you not liking the zone, as I no longer care for it either; however, I do care that you seem to be advancing a position that is intellectually dishonest... likely a position you would not be advancing if the establishment in question were one that you had some personal attachment to. |
lol, I think it's fully justified that I don't want something in my neighborhood because I happen to not like it. |

Guys, if you lived in the area and did not go to the zone like you do, you'd probably feel the same way.
There's absolutely no benefit to having the zone in your neighborhood unless you go there. That corner is sketch enough as it is.
I have been to the zone and I do think it is worse than other clubs in the city as far as drug use goes. |
Off the top of my head, I can think of one legal clubs and 3 illegal afterhours (boozecans) that are much worse... and the cops know about the booze cans. |

I don't like my neighbour so does that mean I should make him move out? |

I have lived in the neighborhood for years and pass through that intersection multiple times per day including on weekends and that is my observation, and for that reason, I would not lose any sleep if the zone closed. Maybe when you move to the neighborhood we could take a stroll through there together and see what your thoughts are. Until then....keep on with your hypothetical arguments, and I will keep talking about what actually happens there, cool? |
oh please... you need to start wearing your glasses when you leave the house. Anyone with functioning eyes can plainly see that the sketch on that corner comes from the crack head natives and other assorted homeless crack heads... not from the people at the comfort zone.
If you lived there for so many years you'd also know that there's a centre for addiction and mental health nearby as well... oh.. and lets not forget the scott mission right next door.
If you'd ever been to the zone, you'd know that it's 80% young professionals. I fail to see how that's ruining that neighborhood more then the other things i mentioned. |

It's justified to destroy someone's business because you don't like it? |
