:haha:

How utterly unnecessary.

I think that Gauss just needs a long hug. I'm not going to be the one to do it, but one of you ought to.

I drink two cups of prosecco and/or verduzzo for lunch and/or dinner

Please look into this asap. Or does the AF do drug tests far too frequently?

random piss test. and they watch you pee - so you can't do any of those "home remedies" or whatever.

and yeah, day 4 is over.

its a bit confusing, sometimes, having different group leaders for some of the sessions. one says that depression is the problem, alcohol abuse is the symptom...and the next one says that alcoholism is the problem and a disease; not depression. so i'm like :wtf:

and i know that if i ask for clarification sometimes, they look at me like, "YOU'RE RATIONALIZING YOUR ALCOHOLISM JUST ADMIT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM"

and i'm like, "I KNOW I HAVE A ING PROBLEM BUT YOU JUST TOLD ME THAT DEPRESSION WAS MY PROBLEM!"

so i tend not to ask questions. just contribute when the timing feels right on certain subjects.

i've always had some hobbies in the past (music being one large one of them). but when i was living in biloxi, it was like, "this place sucks..." and got depressed about living there. i had no responsibilities, so i would drive back to shreveport or new orleans every weekend and just drink with buddies and have a good time. of course, doing this EVERY weekend was what let up to where i'm at now. i just used alcohol as a way to cover up the depression. plus i was like, "i don't have much time left in shreveport...gotta make the most of the social atmosphere while i have the chance, since enid won't have much of one"

Yeah, I'll bet it's confusing because, despite what they say, they don't actually know what your problem is. The people who moderate these sorts of things are guides who often exceed their boundaries because many people need the intervention of a forceful hand - they need to be told how to live because they've lost control of their lives thusfar. You don't particularly strike me as this type of person at all, and it doesn't sound as though you drink to escape your problems - it was a social past-time that got out of your control, you depended on alcohol in order to have a good time - this is considered addiction, don't get me wrong, but the very fact that you are willingly in rehab and willingly looking to change your habits because you've seen the loss of control and didn't like it one bit seems to me that you are in control once more. I'm not urging you to quit rehab or anything like that, all I am saying is that you have to keep an objective mind when people try to tell you what your problems are, because textbooks don't define the world and things are almost always more complicated than state-sponsored research results.

Really, have you considered any contact sports?

OMG DAY 5!
L.E.N.
You should actually be feeling pretty good by now. I had a ton of energy by 3 weeks dry. I had to hit the gym to get my body tired enough I could sleep. Otherwise I was up all night watching the Military channel.
