If you don't mind asking, what kind of health problems?
all my function tests came back normal about two weeks after my final binge. beforehand, i just had the billyreuben (its not spelled like that, but sounds like it) in the liver was like 2.5X the normal amount. |

| Abnormalities with my pancreas and liver which were largely caused by untreated hypertriglyceridemia which is now in check. But alcohol, fatty foods, dairy, and spicy foods are all things I need to avoid as much as possible. |

I've known guys who drink on a semi-daily basis but never miss a day of work or school, go to family functions, do all the that "normal" people do but if you put them in front one of these counselors, they would peg them as total alkies by their benchmarks.
I think you're only an alkies when it actually starts altering your daily life habits in order to keep drinking.
I work with guys who come in to work reeking of whiskey and cigarette smoke once a week, but they bang out some of the best work in the company. I'd rather have these "alkies" working with me than "normal" people who spent half a day on facebook and gmail. |
