theres a reason he is crowed number 1 dj 2 years and running , the man delivers
we rushed to get there at 7 because i thought thats when his curtain dropped because ive been dieing to see that opening scene for years now, ended up dropping around 945 ish if im not mistaken, took us 30 min to get in with VIP
vip area/bar was great
the stairs to the upper and lower levels was a mess
the music was terrific
the countdown was well done
really enjoyed the quick yearmix he did before and after the countdown
if it wasnt for al the pushing and shoving this year id give it a 9.5
other then that, a solid 9/10

cant forget the $5 for water. and the entry wasnt a "speedy entrance" but it was still fun

M.A.N.D.Y completely destroyed it left and right. Armin was kinda boring minus the countdown, not really my style. Highlight of the night: Deadmau5 dropping Andre Kraml - Safari (James Holden Remix) from Sasha's Fundacion NYC album.
Also recorded this from M.A.N.D.Y's set, Anyone know what it is?

I thought the live performance was a nice touch, but yeah, it's bit too obvious a song.

I've decided to be more forgiving of the pushy people. Whenever people started getting pushy, I'd look around and there would be a new e-puddle. The puddles are pretty directly responsible for the pushiness. They create dead spots and bottlenecks the kill the flow of the crowd. I don't know what's worse, the puddles or the smokers on the dance floor. They're both pretty rude.

i sat behind the screens. so it sounded like all night :( was too lazy to move because of all the pushing and shoving. but i know it sounds good when you're up there in front of it

AMAZING night! Got there at 7pm and there were massive lines everywhere already. Found the "shortest" line (45 min wait) and got in. Already, the floor was packed and the curtain was still down. We got our spot on the bleachers and waited until Armin appeared at about 9:45-10pm. I absolutely LOVED the intro mix, however, I did notice he had some sound problems throughout the night. It didn't faze us though 'cuz he kept it going w/ one good song after another. I loved the familiar vocal songs (especially "Sound of Goodbye") and all the classics he played. *ahhhh memories*
I actually enjoyed the New Year's Day by U2 mix even though I know it's cliche and whatnot. It reminded me of the Day One event at Circus Disco many years ago when both Armin and Ferry played there.
One thing I thought that could use some improvement was the go-go girls/dancers throughout the night. Maybe it's because I watched his Armin Only vids on YouTube, but the European go-go girls just seemed much better dancers and had more of a spunk in what they wore. I guess this just means I've got to make a trip to Europe to truly experience the sensation. :D
p.s. I thought it was hilarious some shirtless dude somehow managed to get on stage during one of Armin's songs, and had to be grabbed offstage by security. :haha:
Below are some photos from the night...

Favorite party of the year by leaps and bounds. I never felt there was a moment when the music let down and it would be a good time to take a break. The visuals were simply outstanding - really blew my expectations away. I can overlook the sound issues because I haven't had that much fun in a long time (met my new sweetheart).

What an amazing show. The best Armin set Ive ever heard. Visuals were awesome. The best night of my life
